Born in Beeville, TX.
My dad was a crewman on PBMs out of Norfolk in the late 1940s, VP-49.
This one was from my stash. I got it from a PX in Fort Lewis, WA probably around 1981, Hasegawa 1/72.
I got it off Etsy.
Haha, nope just pilot’s manual in 1/144 scale on the coaming of the flight deck.
Thanks so much.
Will do.
Nope.
From what I read, it was in very close competition with the F-105. The Air Force picked the F-105 because it had an internal bomb bay. I understand that was the deciding factor. But the funny thing is the Air Force never really used the F-105’s bomb bay for weapons delivery. It was mostly used to store more fuel. Nevertheless, I think the F-107 was a good looking jet.
Yeah, I love to pet dogs, but only with human permission.
Bush sat around and did nothing. Not even a word of encouragement. So much for leader of the free world. It was more important to capitalists to move jobs to low wage countries (China) than to upset their dictatorial regime..
Which kit? Airfix?
My dad was a crewman on the predecessor of the Marlin, the PBM Mariner in the late 1940s out of Norfolk. Great job on the Marlin.
Anyone who can beat a Mach 2 kit into submission has my total respect.
Thanks
Yeah, should have ensured both front wheels were on the ground.
But think of all the Diet Cokes on the tarmac!
Man, we never had MREs like that.
The whole party is that ignorant. You could give the Game Show Host a night with the porn star of his choice and he couldn’t find Pakistan or India on a map of Asia.
Fake. No canals filled with liquid water.
Put Jabba in there.
Has to be CGI. Not raining.
Thanks. Yes, the original BI went belly up in ‘82. I flew on a Braniff Electra in the summer of ‘67 from Omaha to Corpus Christi. Always wanted to build one. They had the smartest paint schemes. Today it’s just white fuselages. Boring.
After looking at some photos I do believe you’re correct. Lots of people have seen the model and photos before, but no one pointed that out. I followed the Welsh Models instructions, so maybe they were in error. Built in 1995 at the infancy of the internet so I didn’t have access to SP photos.
😀
Very rough go. The non clear plastic parts fit where they touch. The clear plastic is not clear at all. I spent a fruitless day trying to buff the clear parts to be more clear. I was defeated. If you want a PBM in 1/72 go with Minicraft/Academy or the Rareplanes vacuform versions.
Forbidden Planet! With out that movie, no Star Trek.
Have you noticed that both Vance and Pence last names end in "c" and "e"? And that "c" is the third letter in the alphabet and "e" is the fifth letter? If you multiply 3X5 you get 15. Now stay with me. Trump was the 45th president, right? If you divide 45 by 15, you get 3.How many times has Trump been married? 3We now return you to your normally scheduled Alex Jones, programming.
Sweet Jesus!
Man, you have to be some hardy folks to live there.
A 16 year old with a van? Nothing could go wrong, correct?
