Before I even scrolled down I knew this would be here somewhere. Wasn't disappointed.

That is probably one of the most badass art stories I've ever heard. Legendary level.
Now if the guy had turned out to be part of the painting too I would have freaked out.

So as long as their use of religion in a speech isn't about forced conversion or instituting biblical punishments, it's only words and ideas
But the values and beliefs someone carries are fine as long as they don't cross a line to where a citizen must obey religious laws.
It protects us from things like Blasphemy Laws or being arrested for breaking a religions laws you see in strict religious governments.
It only means that the government for the most part can't tell religion what to do and vice versa. Ideas, views, and values are different.

Uncooked rice does which is why they recommend nowadays that seeds be thrown at weddings instead of the traditional hard rice.
