It was a novel concept at once, and we never took it off once people got used to it. Same idea as the rollover warnings on sun visors.

It's because the mirrors are convex to increase their field of view, which has the side effect of making things look smaller than reality

Haha thanks! She's original through-and-through, bought her from the granddaughter of the 1st owner and I have no plans to change anything.

Whoops, missed that!

Early Chevy Van is probably the closest though, although the Mystery Machine isn't any van in particular #pedanticaf

Yep. 50+70+50, respectively

Huh, that certainly is an odd one. I wish I could help, but the shifter linkage is something I haven't touched on mine!

I'm assuming you're talking about a sloppy shifter?

Porsche swaps are cool, but you can easily get as much power out of a VW engine for less money and without having to work out a swap.

If I go big power, I'm keeping it air cooled. Radiators are devil work!

They're the originals, just missing the hubcaps. When I have the cash I'd love to get some body-color or red Smoothies for it, though

Old cars make lots of smells. What doesn't make smells is CO, which is odorless, so I'm pretty sure that's not it.

Thanks! And yeah, I only know of one other anywhere near me.

An older van

I was just listing things that aren't awful Chinese crap since you mentioned the g pen, which is. I own neither of them.

Congratulations?

That doesn't make vaping not safe, it makes using unsafe vapes unsafe. It takes two minutes of googling to find out what the good ones are.

Not a marijuana reference. And I'd rather do neither and use a quality vaporizer like a Mighty or a Firefly.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How is it less safe?

I think you're confusing cannabis and tobacco pipes. Tobacco pipes you do not inhale, cannabis you do.

It's the carcinogens from combustion, not the heat, that's the problem with smoking.

For those asking, whip-its are N20 containers. You use them to fill a balloon, then suck in the balloon, and you feel great for about 30sec.

Of course! /a/VTWIN

I'm 6'5" and I also fit fine in a 500.

I wouldn't exactly call the push-down thing modern, since my '72 Karmann Ghia has it :p

Yeah thankfully the previous owner had put a spare one back there

...worked itself out of place, causing the pump to fail. Pretty easy fix, thankfully.

Once I recovered the engine (thankfully it had just been stashed in the trunk) it turned out the fuel pump hinge pin had just...
