It's been provided to cows in Ireland and England for centuries as a treat and cheap feed supplement. Never seen them eat it direct from the ocean though
and they vote...
yep, last major flood was just before the pandemic, took out the bridge in Kingsland... but change would require recognition of climate change and that sure as shit ain't happening anytime soon, especially in oil rich Texas

thankfully not all of us, even from here in Austin that flooding looked insane... our main water reserve in Lake Travis went from 43% capacity to over 60% just this past week, crazy amount of water

went to the trouble to create a citation for the writers of that episode of Firefly so I could use that quote in my dissertation conclusion :-)
understandably, I have no scruples and want to build a Hoonicorn copy, but I know my dad would crucify me for it, lol

I riffed on a couple of different recipes I found after posting, turned out great1.5 pounds of cucumbers, drained the fluid after salting but without rinsing, sliced thinly6 tablespoons of rice vinegar (3/4 cup)2 tablespoons of light soy sauce2 tablespoons of toasted sesame seeds1 tablespoon of toasted sesame oil1 clove of garlic2 tablespoons (I enjoy spicy food) of vietnamese style chili garlic sauce (Huy Fong brand for me)1 tablespoon of honey
holy hell. that's a brilliant hack!! I have a mandoline but I know it's only a matter of time before it takes it's blood sacrifice againand I just came across a recipe for sesame noodles that I want to make, so another cold noodle dish is exactly what I need, thanks!
probably? I mean, I just made another batch and it's delicious, I doubt it will last more than a few days before I finish it.Though I have been guilty of leaving things in mason jars for WAY too long, and the vinegar probably killed off any chance of actually pickling the batch, but that would be interesting...
I'm glad to have a name to put to the food, I just made another batch and it was good but I want to try tweaking the recipe
Oh I get it, I've visited Ireland a couple of times in the summer... that is exactly what I have to explain to everyone here in Texas. We're the wierd ones with A/C everywhere

I'm sorry she passed so young, but it is also hard to imagine anyone having a serious part in that show and not having a blast. Love Doctor Who, I've even got my own scarf off of the BBC patternDefinitely sounds like you've got 2 truths and a lie well covered!
