Sadly, they aren't. I have had to work very hard to try to teach my kid empathy. It just doesn't come naturally for her. Of my various niblings, a couple had empathy in buckets since birth. A couple find kindness and thinking of others challenging. Everyone has their own strengths. Choosing and working towards empathy may be an even deeper experience- we are our choices.
She doesn't hang out with her awesome gay friend, though she totally should make one and do that, but Working Girl is closest to the anthesis of Hallmark movies we've gotten thus far. And it's a great movie!
Mine is usually a bit twitchy with fireworks, but last night we had a massive thunderstorm (the planet is dying...) just before midnight, and then fireworks. She wasn't having a good time
A year ago,I figured out I did from a similar post sending me down a rabbit hole of research. I was 45. 25 years deep into a career in mental health. My psychiatrist thinks this is very funny. Go get checked. Treatment is life changing. I'm not just lazy and incompetent!
I work with medically fragile kids. I picked up a new case last month. Kiddo has a degenerative thing. He's in a medical trial. It's very effective. He was stabilizing and improving. All the patients were. It's a miracle new technology. The company decided to stop making it. Because it's not profitable. They're using the last of it. As someone with a job that can be emotionally challenging,.. if you are already aware that this is a needed thing, it feels very different when you're helping. It's going to happen, but being there to help makes a huge difference in how you feel. Helping where you can who you can is fulfilling, as long as you keep in mind that all you can do and stay healthy yourself is all you can do, and that's enough.
Jerry's wife and Ben's mom was Anne Meara, and he's married to Christine Taylor. He often had his family in his movies- they're all in Zoolander- though his sister usually has a bit part. Has to be weird directing your far more experienced parents and telling your wife how to act
Mountain to a small general store. So they have 3 houses, but aren't depriving anyone of a liveable space, you know? Still disparity, tho
The 3rd house is 200 years old. Has an outhouse. Barely standing. We inherited it. It's not near anything. Like 5 miles minimum off the....
And it's not winterized. You could do fall, but once the child really sets in, nope. The road isn't plowed once snow comes either.
Just to complicate things.. my parents own 3 houses. One they live in. One is a small house on a pond in Maine. The water isn't drinkable...
Bee sting to the the eye= no more eye. Maybe it doesn't bother them much otherwise. I barely react to yellowjacket stings.
