My father passed 13 years ago. I hate that sentence. There are still sharp days where I can’t breathe because I can’t call him. Less now than at first. They still happen. I feel I’ve integrated my grief and it swims with the love. There will be some broken glass moments ahead. Your love for that old beach bum will get you through.
