I don't even like our PM and didn't vote for him, and I look forward to turfing the bugger out in the next election, but in this case I feel he correctly spoke for us all here in Aotearoa New Zealand, where democracy and the Free World order is cherished and enshrined, no matter where we sit on the political spectrum.
We Kiwis stand with you Ukrainians, and I know our Aussie cuzzies across the pond stand with you too. You have friends in all corners of the world, including this one. The Americans may have lost their own spines, their dignity and their honour, but we see yours each day, in all of you, and in your leader Zelenskyy who will forever be a hero and a legend.
You put the Americans and Russians (apparently best friends now) to shame, and you humble us all.
May the Americans find their spines before it's too late for them and may we, your friends around the world, stay united in supporting you all the way to your day of victory.

If Kiwis solved problems with violence, which we don't. We DO keep our government in check and fearful of its People because we act in numbers, overwhelmingly but peacefully. Our national-scale response to our current gov trying to "Reinterpret" the Treaty of Waitangi is but one example of it. It's therefore gobsmacking to watch Americans NOT act in such ways, in such proportions of their population, and NOW they are talking about violence after letting their country go THAT far down the shitter

Yep. "Disaster" plays into their narrative, which is an overture for war based on lies. They did the same thing cops do and yelled "STOP RESISTING!" for the camera. The story they're setting up is that Russia offered peace, US stepped in as mediator, talks with Ukraine went awry & US officials were oh so terribly disrespected. So when Russia offers the US mining rights in "liberated" territories and Ukraine tries to retake those regions, the US has an excuse to join the war on the wrong side.

Would that do it I wonder, would sending US troops to fight alongside the Russians and North Koreans finally be to much for the Republicans.....nah of course not, they are to far gone to back out now, sunk cost and all that. It will take the people and/or the military saying, "no, this is to much, these people must go!"
