Movies and many videos are 24 FPS. It heavily depends on the media; a movie at 24 FPS is fine, but an action game at 24 FPS is terrible.

For slow moving scenes, you won't notice a difference past 30 FPS. 60 Hz monitors can't display past 60 FPS either. Outside of that...

It's not at all that simple... Our eyes don't work in FPS. Most have don't notice much from 144Hz to 240, anything higher it's even harder

You won't notice the difference unless you put the font size and icon sizes smaller. Then on a higher res phone it'll look more crisp.

That's probably because of motion blur masking the difference. It's easier to spot the difference with close to no motion blur.

I have a BenQ XL2411Z with blur reduction enabled at just 1.5ms persistence. The difference between 120 and 144 is quite noticeable.

The diminishing returns fall off more so around 200+fps. Hence why 240hz monitors are used in top-tier fps games with some pros.

I got my Asus ROG Swift 165hz for $800 lol. 100% worth it for Overwatch. Completely changed the game.

Play Rocket League with FPS limit of 60fps on a 144hz screen, then play at 144fps. It's a big difference. i got a 144hz monitor for $200.
