I remember this. Happened around the same time ICE was snatching babies out of mother's arms in broad daylight, multiple times, with multiple witnesses and POVs, even one was live streamed. It's a travesty that anyone has been killed, hurt or terrorized by the SS goon squad. Every time it happens on camera though it will have a bigger impact. Each time they victimize mothers, it catches the eye of women who keep their heads down in survival. It's nuanced.

Of course there's outrage, but if the justification for ICE is getting rid of immigrants, but they end up actually killing pretty much anybody, then it's an important and damning issue for them. And they know it, which is why they're trying to cast her as a domestic terrorists (placing in the same barrel as they are with so-called druggies and rapist immigrants).

I think Renee's murder is just so disturbing because it was filmed and we can see how it was done execution style just multiple gunshots to the head. I personally fear more of being disappeared to a foreign prison to go crazy or die a slow cruel death, so i think of those victims every day.

It comes down to the fact that the most recent victim:
- Was a white woman
- Was a born citizen
- Has no criminal record
- Was not the target of a raid/arrest
- Was not impeding officers
- Her death was caught clear as day on camera
- Footage/records show ICE preventing paramedics from even checking on her
ICE has not a single shred of an argument to even TRY justifying/excusing her death. Everything they say is simply a lie and should serve to be used as evidence when you guillotine them all.

Not to be dark about it but good. If you want to build outrage, maybe lead to someone doing something about it, we have a white American woman where people can say "That could happen to me next." Hopefully she doesn't have a criminal record because Republicans will use any excuse to say she deserves it. This might be the wake up call, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

ICE playbook is to shoot you because in Silvero's case ICE claimed that Villegas González resisted arrest, attempted to drive his vehicle into the arrest team, and dragged an officer a "significant distance." The agent fired his weapon "fearing for his own life".

Parts of it were caught on security cam - enough to show the agents were lying about everything they said - but the car was driving off screen when the shots were fired so you couldn't see that much.

There was plenty of outrage in Chicago at the time and hell, most recently the Chicago mayor brought up his case when condemning ICE for the Minneapolis shooting. Difference here as another poster pointed out this case is filmed from numerous angles and clear example of murder. Let's not use this kind of tradegy for oppression comparison Olympics for fuck sake.

Also of significance is that she was a US citizen and not even under suspicion of being undocumented. Its easy to write or Silverio because he was an immigrant and the expected target of ICE. With this there's absolutely no question she was a random bystander.
It is illegal to discuss how this all makes me feel in honest terms.

Yeah, it's sickening. I have followed some of those cases in Canada. I'm Cherokee descent, although I am white. I was a member of the Metis in the united states for a while. We of course aren't a recgonized tribe like they are in Canada, but knowing the hell and history indigenous people have endured in North America really puts a lot of things into perspective when it comes to American politics and hypocracy.

ICE also managed a litany of claims against Gonzales, including resisting with force, fleeing, and dragging an agent with his car (I’m not claiming all,or any of that is fact) In Good’s case, the video of her trying to leave & the agent shooting her repeatedly as she did was broadcast almost immediately.
