on a scale of fries to snails, how french are you?

Fries are more of a Belgian thing, y'know.

that's the joke in the comment. fries = 0, snails = 10

What is the difference? From what I've read, tian is layered and baked, and ratatouille is more of a chopped, sauteed affair. Is that right?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

basically, plus, there is no bell pepper in the tian, and you're supposed to pan cook each vegetable separately in the ratatouille first.
