Goodnight, Princess Thumbalina.

Our hospital cat, Thumbalina (19 F), who has been with our branch for almost all of her life, was helped over the rainbow Bridge this past week. She was in renal failure for a while, but that didn't stop her from climbing on anything and waiting patiently for everyone to put food out. She started going upstairs to the warmer rooms, and we noticed that her body temp was dropping. Soon she wasn't able to stand up for very long or make it to the litter pan. We made her as comfortable as possible. She passed with everyone available at her side. We kept the dress, and her favorite stuffed Buffalo toy and added her picture to our wall. RIP, Thumbs. May everyone else's food be easily within reach on the other side.
