Trump has normalized being a feces-flinging money, that him dialing it down just a tad during a debate suddenly makes him a model politician to some for some reason. B/c they've decided to just look at the debate as a stand-alone thing while forgetting that he's a felon, a rapist, a liar, a wannabe dictator endorsing Project 2025, that he's twice impeached b/c of incompetence, that during his former presidency his shit response to COVID got citizens killed, he withheld PPE to try to force states into kissing his ass, on and on...

That's a dumb move.

Incumbent Presidents (president that currently holds office and is running for 2nd term) has higher chance of winning. Why? B/c they're already in-office doing the job for 4 years. All you're voting on is "are you happy with this dude doing this for another 4 years?"

Trump was so bad at his presidency that he lost as an incumbent last race.

Ok, let's say we ditch Biden and plug in someone else. Someone younger.

Now Republicans will say Trump's age is a benefit, b/c a "younger candidate has less experience". They'll also shove down your throat how Trump has already been president one time, while a new dem candidate has not. Basically saying "this guy's already been a CEO compared to your person. So, your person lacks experience for the job."

Replacing Biden would be the dumbest decision right now. Folks pushing that are either short-sighted and don't realize it, or a putin bot pushing it b/c it fits putin's agenda to get Trump back into office.

Biden could sleep through his next presidency. He has already picked a cabinet that is competent and getting things done.

Another thing to consider.. the US has the most powerful military and nuclear arsenal on the planet. Who do you want controlling that?

The old guy that signed off on an infrastructure bill and got student loans forgiven?

Or an old guy that's promised to go after political enemies, has endorsed Project 2025 that wants to leverage the military as an internal police force to round up and arrest US citizens against him, has constantly shit-talked Mexico, and is seeing how Putin is invading Ukraine and Israel is invading Gaza, and wants in on that kind of land-grab action?

This isn't just US citizens, but as the world.. who do you want having control over the largest, most advanced military and nuclear arsenal in the world? Folks on here from other countries going "Biden's old! Get rid of that guy!" Are you high? What are you smoking?
