Tetiana Khimion (47), now a sniper in the Ukrainian army, poses with a photo of herself and her students as a dance teacher before Russia attacked her homeland. Slava Ukraini!

This makes me so sad. People that started life with dreams and worked hard to achieve. Forced from teaching, music, dance, architecture, etc. Forced to be soldiers. FuckPutin.

Not a sniper. A long distance sunflower planter.

I hate this for Ukraine. Fuck Russia's government for what it's done to millions of people to enrich billionaires.

Glory to the heroes

Incredible how many Ukrainians had to give up a peaceful happy life style to fight to the death like the woman pictured here, for insane reasons.

War is all around now. I hope people fighting to keep their very genetics alive (Palestine) somehow see images like this and gain some sort of hope that they can survive so that their future generations can survive.

It’s amazing how having real Russians as targets improves your biathlon performance, I think the Olympics should provide them for practice and competition.

Fourty seven? Slava!!

I feel obligated to say that the Russian's basically pay people from poor/minorities regions to die. Russian's are people too. :-l She's doing what she has to do. But they're people not mindless orcs. Putin can go jump some Nth circle of hell though. The people in the Russian government are the more the orcs to me. But also my home isn't being fucking invaded so \o/.

May you bring terror and irreparable trauma to those who would kill your children and pollute your soil.

4 weeks ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Love how its the same pose as the picture.

4 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Please kill as many as you possibly can, stay safe and I wish to see you at the Olympics one day, after you defeat the invaders. May Universe bless you.

What does the Olympics have to do with this

4 weeks ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

The Olympics has 15 shooting events. The wish to see her use her sniper skills by participating in one or more of those after the war is over

Some would say, how does she go from dance teacher to sniper? The amount of patience one needs to be a any kind of teacher would definitely translate well to the patience a sniper needs.

Not to mention the physical coordination require to hold a pose. Sniping is just a different pose.

Especially one teaching kids something physical

I spent one spring trying to teach my kindergarten class how to play kickball... I almost lost my sanity and none of them got much better. God bless good coaches

She has ZERO fucks to give.

But lots of bullets.

Here's my question... What is Russia's end game? Take over? Great, then they'll be fighting an insurgency for the next 20 years.

Fun fact - while male eyes are better tracking movements and trajectory (future state locating) female eyes have higher differentiation so they can identify targets more easily additionally their fine motor skills allow for a smoother trigger pull which becomes extremely important in these long distance shots.

I mean my IRL sauce is the 2 service people next door who went through the program, what I said is considered general knowledge I just never considered it through the lens of military use prior to talking to them. Here a link i skimmed through, looks like it hits on most of the visual acuity part. Do you want me to look up fine motor skills between the genders as well?

I hope i never find out if I'm goodor bad at war. Even if you're good at it, the bragging is basically "I'm really good at hurting and/or killing people". You do what you gotta do in war. 21st century was pushing for globalization and these rich old farts wanting to cement a legacy are fucking it up for everyone.

Now there’s a Hollywood movie that needs to be told

4 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I suspect you're going to see a slew of video games and movies based on the Ukraine war in the next few years.

4 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, depends I suppose on who wins and then who we're allowed to portray as the villains of said video game.

4 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The people who should be shot, aren't getting shot. Russians didn't declare this war. Putin did. We need more Zelenskyys and fewer Putins.

4 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But it is Russians who need to get rid of Putin. As long as Russians go to Ukraine instead of Kreml... My pity for any ordinary Russian walking free and passive died in 2022.

When Lady Death, Lyudmila Pavlichenko was aked, "how many men have you killed?"

She said, "None, but I have ended 309 fascits."

Good hunting.

A should go back severally crippled as a lesson for the future. Not many.

4 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

A lesson to who? The kids that really don't want to be there or the leaders hiding deep in Russia sending all those kids in to die?

4 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

A lesson to everyone getting sent for another one of Russias invasions.

4 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

But if they are being sent then maybe it's because they really aren't wanting to willingly go?

4 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

So? Are they still going?

4 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The russians signed up for it though...

4 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I really don't think all of them did.

4 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

What percentage of them signed up versus being pressed into service?

4 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

hard to believe this war is still going on.

4 weeks ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

It's a mixed battle between humans and drones. However, Russia loves to attack civilian targets, and the Ukrainians are fierce defenders despite all the difficulties they have to endure.

4 weeks ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

The Ukrainians have also seen what's happening in parts of the country Russia controls and know surrender gets them worse than nothing.

4 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Russia is pulling troops from places no one else would, including North Korea, theres not a lot of mental left on the bone.

4 weeks ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Africa too, apparently.

4 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Worse - the Africans were recruited to "work" in Russia and then Shanghaied into the army and sent to the front lines with almost no training.

4 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Isn't that kinda the same deal as with the North Koreans?

4 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

From what I have read "Reports from late 2024 to 2025 indicate14,000–15,000 North Korean soldiers were deployed to Russia, primarily in the Kursk region. Additionally, thousands of workers were sent to help restore infrastructure and clear mines." Not quite the same as "Come sell magazine subscriptions in Russia! High pay -easy work - clothes provided! Free transportation! Sign here."
