Been struggling last 3 years, moved to a strange country to start from scratch, mom fell ill and I had to become her full time carer while working full time in the medical industry. Covid hit, I got hit hard enough to end up in hospital with collapsed lungs. Got out but had long term effects still causing issues. Decided to start looking around and out of nowhere these guys approached me. Suddenly I feel valued for the first time in what feels like forever.

Fortunately it's not. More that my current organisation doesn't appropriately value the skillset required in currnent position.

Reading stuff like this is exactly how I want to start my morning, thank you ❤️

Did your mum move to the new country with you?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah I brought her over here, the intention being she would be safer here. She promptly fell and injured herself leaving her unable to do

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Even the most simple tasks alone so had to step in and take an active caring role. Sadly she just has never recovered from that injury.

I feel like 95% is enough for you to say “about doubled”.. but I’m a glass half full kind of guy, so

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

To be fair the 95% is the takeaway after tax so considering I've jumped brackets it is about double. Id say it's more an overflowing glass.

I’m happy your work is paying off! Enjoy it

OMG that's so awesome! Go you! And thank you for the work you do!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Amazing, the highest % increase I got was 40% for going to another company. 95% is amazing! Congratulations!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To clarify the jump in responsibility will match the raise.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just wondering, what is a strange country for you?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Basically half way across the world and had to start from scratch. Moved over with enough money to live for a month.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Be careful they're not banking on your desperation! Stay vigilant of your work conditions, responsibilities, and compensation

Fortunately they approached me not knowing anything about my position, only my skillset. And with only the basis of my interest in the trial

Appreciate the warning and the concern though, you are a great individual and I value your input.

Clinical research is a very fast paced environment so make sure you keep tabs on your health. Everyone always wants more.

It's disguised as we need to get a new drug out to market to help people but they fail to mention their motives of profit. Take care.

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

This is true, fortunately this is not drug based but rather testing based applications so it's focused more towards care than profit.

Or maybe just a person. Fellow imgurian!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dude is gender neutral at this point

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Is it really? I wonder what most women would say about that. Is "man" also gender neutral word for a human?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

The vagina bearers in my home prefer dude.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also as a woman, I say my dude and my guy to literally anyone.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

As a woman, I say “dude” and “man” to everyone and recurve it back, so yeah, I think?

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That's an opinion of one person. I guess we'll never know.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Also this sounds sassier than I meant it to, apologies
