IIRC the default WikiMedia installation includes index.php in the URLs, but there's a way to turn it off (a config setting + .htaccess or nginx rule). Whoever set up this site hasn't done that, so the URLs look "janky" to some (but IMHO if it works, that's the important thing).

For reference for others on *why* it's important to spread it, Meta just blocked/made bannable all posting of it across Facebook, Threads, and Instagram. Which I'm sure has nothing to do with the fact that Zucky is doing the "zuck-zuck" with Trump as of late.
