So.eone posted a time-lapse video of this yesterday. I didnt favorite it so keep scrolling?

This is awesome. If you enjoy stuff like this, check out this documentary: https://youtu.be/aFrDN5eYPOQ

Zeke IS sweet! And adorable too! thx

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That is some epic-level folding there! . . . So, what else can you do with your fingers? o.O

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What the hell. I can’t fold a letter in equal parts and fit it in an envelope. ??‍♀️

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I see your origami samurai and raise you an origami boulder - https://origamiboulder.com/

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bwahahaha! I'm so sad more people didn't see this!

"If you must blink, do it now."

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I swear there were scissors involved

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Holy shit, is that how you earn Grand Master in the origami world?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

More like, holy sheet!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Did you see how many folds?!

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

You know, he could have used two sheets and we would have never known

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Kubo would be proud.

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Great movie

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you must blink - do it now!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It looks cool, but I wish there were some sort of fruit-based reference guide I could use to determine how big it is

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well, his hand is there.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Did he cut and glue some of that?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I don't think he did. If you look at the two process pics you can kind kind of see how he must have done it folding.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Traditional origami does not allow cuts and clue.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Upvote for Zeke. I miss my little guy Charlie every goddamn day.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sorry for your loss. They are with us for such a short time, I know, but they are the best while we get to have them!

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I saw his art in an exhibition last year. Other amazing pieces aswell! Them details!

Oh lovely, thank you! Nice to see more work from him beyond what I saw in the article. :)

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That’s cool and everything.....

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 3

Came here for this lol

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because...

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I do not have that kind of patience....or planning skills

5 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 0

I think we can surprise ourselves with those when we’re doing something that we really enjoy. They come naturally rather than by effort.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I also don't have that kind of pa

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

There is software now that can print out the folds

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Will it fold it for me?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

@OP

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

It is now on my list for this weekend!

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

A must-watch, absolutely gut-wrenching story, amazing music, outstanding animation, just watched it recently!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Do these ppl know in advance how to fold the paper or do they just wing it?

5 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

My son loves oragami and makes some crazy stuff. Most he finds on youtube or in his oragami books but he has made some up

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

https://youtu.be/MDwPXRy9IFc This is a short neat video showing "levels" of origami which goes into some of the planning of stuff like this.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If it's a crane, they wing it

5 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There are techniques (and a little math) to organize sections of paper based on common patterns. That said, it's still more art than science

5 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 0

Someone developed software to do it, but I imagine like anything, you have to know where to start.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Huh, that’s interesting, thanks for sharing

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Reminded me of Kubo and the Two Strings. If you haven't already do yourself a favour and Watch. This. Movie.

5 years ago | Likes 144 Dislikes 0

I would swear scissors were involved.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Seriously! I can't wait for Laika to come out with another movie

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

And Regina Spektor's cover of "While my Guitar Gently Weeps" over the credits is outstanding.

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I just watched it the other night because I missed it so much!

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Monkey is my favorite character and the dearth of Kubo merch is a travesty.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Kubo should have won Best Animated Feature instead of Zootopia #changemymind

5 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

Don't get me wrong, I love Zootopia... but Kubo is the better film by a landslide in almost every way.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I liked Zootopia more, but I am a big fan of Kubo's animation. It has been years since I seen either so I may have to check them out again.

How big was the piece of paper?

5 years ago | Likes 291 Dislikes 0

Was probably a CVS receipt

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

About 3.50

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

And did anyone else think at first that was a lifesize samurai?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

2 bananas wide

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

About the size of my phone screen

Baffling to Americans

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 12

We understand inches

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Who do you think uses inches?

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

It's there in inches. You know what inches are.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah I'm not fucking googling the conversion. Imma say Texas sized

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The conversion of inches to inches?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because I misread that.... I'm the jackass here.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's 3' 1" Americans.

5 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 0

Y'know, I don't really like pineapple on pizza mostly because I don't really go for sweet stuff on savory stuff, but I don't HATE it either

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So about one Washing machine. Got it.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Thank you. We are far to stupid and lazy to figure that out. I mean that.

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

How many do I need to cover my washing machine ?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Roughly 230 if you include all six sides.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Assuming it's a square piece

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yes!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

IIRC all origami is done on square pieces of paper

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Meanwhile, I skipped breakfast and lunch today because i didn't feel like walking to the other side of the building....

5 years ago | Likes 719 Dislikes 1

It's easy to make these. You've got to know when to hold them

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There’s no such thing as a free lunch...unless you don’t eat it.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I did the same! But I made up for it with dinner. Ate so much I spent the rest of the evening on the couch

5 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 1

How big is the building? If you’re Putin with 1 billion dollar mansion, it is very believable

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same but depression

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I can relate..

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No you did it cause you couldn’t afford breakfast or lunch today

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

Fortunately my job provides food for free.

What kinda disgusting company provides that? Where would they be? Like whats the name of it, so I can avoid it at all cost?!
