You know you want it...

I've made something I like to call Mexican poutine.

The key for a great poutine isn't that simple. All three ingredients must be exquisite or it can throw the balance off.

What´s this?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Up vote eeehhh

Best dirty poute is "the Americana" it's got ground beef and sautéed onions along with the cheese and gravy.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fuck the FP, why aren't you marketing this shit to us? [concerned american]

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wish to join the ranks of Canadians, but they don't want me...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As an american I want to try that stuff so bad

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You forgot the cheese curds...you can NOT forget the cheese!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It'll be an empty plate before it makes it to the front page. I will see to that personally.

9 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Je vote toujours pour Poutine! :-)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#1 Reason I want to move to Canada

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What the Hell Is this

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There is another kind of poutine in Acadian areas, Atlantic Canada ( like Dieppe, NB ) Not the same... its white, its wet, it has no cheese.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Its made with shredded potato and salt pork and its... an acquired taste. So if you're in New Brunswick.. soecify which poutine!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have never had poutine. Therefore I don't know if I want it. Perhaps a Canadian man can persuade me?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

oh. you . do.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lie much? http://imgur.com/search?q=Poutine

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Man that was a dangerous, I just ate and now my mouth is watering

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Gravy is not hot enough, should melt the curds, I do want some poutine now though

9 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 2

No melted curds.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The fresher the cheese curd the harder it is to melt

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've never had poutine. Can you buy it anywhere in The States? Three of my fave things all mixed up. I'm excited. Thanks, Canada!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Check your local grocery store. They might have cheese curds and the other items to make poutine at home.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm not super handy in the kitchen. I'd like my first time to be authentic. Otherwise my poutine view will be skewed.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Its like pizza. Even when its bad, its good.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I shall make it tonight then sir! I'll post the recipe, my efforts, final product, and reaction. I'm pumped.

Chips, gravy, and a shite borderline flavourless 'cheese'. Works nicely all together!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Moose turds eh

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Delicious

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Poutine. if you look really hard, you'll see it in the title.

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

French fries, cheese, and gravy. I've never had it but it looks wonderful.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Dude just make it. It's so easy.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not really easy to get "cheese curds" most places.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Your favorite cheese works too. I prefer cheese curds. You can even make vegetable gravy.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Actually it has been on the front page, many, many, manymany times.

9 years ago | Likes 264 Dislikes 0

Only reason I really know what it looks like!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How much Police Academy do you watch?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh sorry about that

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

What even is it?

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

Some kind of fries with cheese and sauce.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fries, gravy, and cheese curds

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

They feed drunk hobos french fries, cheese curds and gravy, they then let them regurgitate it onto a plate and call it food

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 7

What kind of gravy?

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Hot hot man gravy

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

It's what the Brits call cheesy chips and gravy.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

Poutine is not British.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

As a Brit who has had Poutine. Many times. It's slightly different. Cheese Curds are a lot different than the cheddar we sprinkle on it.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

as a Canadian, seriously consider adding pulled pork to your poutine, or Montreal smoked meat. It's glorious.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The other night I made a poutine with marinara sauce, Italian seasoned chicken, them little tomatoes and parmesan. Pretty dang good.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a Canadian my favourite post-bar food is poutine, and pulled prok is definitely the best kind

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a Canadian I always used to think poutine was a NY thing cause the only place I ever saw it was NY Fries.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Whays montreal smoked meat?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Corned beef basically

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

"Montreal smoked meat" sounds kinda like a forbidden skateboarding/sex technique.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

That move is illegal in every province except Manitoba, surprisingly.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

As an Norwegian. What the f I this. We just eat boiled sheep heads here

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No lutefisk?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Only on Friday. Sorry

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a Dane, Fries, cheese curds and gravy.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As a Dane married to a Canadian, omg give me some of that poutine please!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I've been considering making my own cheese curds, just to try and make it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How difficult are they to make?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

roast duck in Niagara

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Whaaaa...where in Niagara?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Near the falls

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

King St. Niagara on the lake

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I get the shits every time I add pulled pork.

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 2

I poop after I add any food to my body.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Then you're doing it right.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Totally worth it though. It is the Canadian version of Chipotle

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

We are talking about eating fries with gravy and cheese. I don't think we went into this expecting a good end.

9 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 2

You've got a point.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

What about lots of cheese?
