Meanwhile Colorado is crying because it's been in the 60s, I miss actual winter and I'm not looking forward to the extra-dry-ass summer we're probably looking at
Australian here, barely had a day under 35 in six weeks. Constant swamp arse. I feel what you're saying in reverse We're nearly at the end of "the weather is trying to kill me" season. Hold fast brothers and sisters.
Michigander here. This past week I walked into my gym with no jacket and the sleeves of my flannel rolled up. The receptionist laughed at me and said, “it’s been so cold this feels warm,” and I said , “yup! A balmy 28 degrees!”
As a montanan we'll take some cold! Everyone here complains about the cold but it's been in the 30/40s all winter with barely any snow. I've never seen such a warm winter
Hell, sometimes even the sun offers no reprieve here. I remember a couple sunny days back when we were still getting single digit and lower temperatures.
As a Nebraskan, I'll take my pups out to the backyard to play in shorts and a tank top at a sunny 40. Only for 10-20 minutes at a pop, but the chill is refreshing.
We just moved from California to Pittsburgh. After a week of mornings -9° to -1°, we were getting ready for school one morning and it was 16° and my 2nd grader said, "it's so warm today. Do we even need our jackets?"
Same, honestly. Anything above 40 is basically pleasantly warm. (Also, it continues to annoy me that the midwest is east of me, and my state doesn't count.)

I thought the joke was that 40° is the same as 4°
bastarddad
That's like a Melbourne summer, but in Celcius.

Some parts are going to be close to 70° in winter I'm really going to hate this summer
IJustWantToMakeAComment
The northeast is enjoying single digits and arctic blasts now
Canigetbannedagain2
Near 60 in parts of the PNW.

Only had a few days above 30 here in Maine recently... it's felt downright pleasant out on those days. Those are days I can leave my coat at home!
theskepticinme
Coming off the February negative temps to that first sunny 20 degree day. Getting to unzip the heavy coat. Leaving the scarf at home. Priceless

For Minnesotans, the various Dakotans, and even Wisconsinites, even high 20s are like that
Psycopaz
Highest it's gotten where I live in pa for last three weeks was 33°
BeragondGreatstride
Can confirm. Ate ice cream outside with the Mrs. today.
StillScreamingIntoTheVoid
This time of year, any sunny day is "leave my coat at home" weather.

Last night I had macaroni and meatballs. As a life long midwesterner, I thought it was one of the more midwestern meals I’ve had.
nojustsayitdont

Try 40° in Oz.
