What kind of ass keeps asking those questions to a kid?

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

My heart just broke

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

the fact that he tries to hold back his tears... this kid has been through some real shit.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I'm too fucking pregnant for this.

11 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

It's hard seeing such sadness in such a young face.

11 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Yeup. I'm crying. Desperately want to hug him, no matter how old he is now

11 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

jebuss. Next time, just take an ax right to my chest, ok?

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

how dare you make me feel my own feelings

A repost. But a repost with feels

11 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 5

it hurts even more to see someone so young have this pain, for a lifetime. dammit!

That kid is hell of a man. I hope he succeeded with his secure date communication company.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's my boy! Never in my life did I ever want kids until I saw Andrei in that PBS show 20+ years ago.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Now I want all of the kids.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Imagine all the children being orphaned as we speak. Those who won't have any family left because someone killed them all....that's reality

11 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 1

right in the feels.

11 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 2

"My Family" he says. "Do you have a family?" the possibly deaf interviewer asks.

11 years ago | Likes 251 Dislikes 2

I snorted out loud at this, even with the weepy eyes, so thank you for that!

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The interviewer asked that because the boy is in an orphanage. He wanted clarification.

11 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Thanks for cheering me up with your comment. I almost caught the feels.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Who the hell's cutting onions in my office?

11 years ago | Likes 289 Dislikes 6

My eyes are itching

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Damn travelling cooks, they must have been here too

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

That third-to-last frame, UGH.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

When will this onion shit die out

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

I'm the only one in today and the same shit is happening here! Maybe it's in the HVAC or something.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

My mother died when i was 3. That last picture kicked me right in the balls. Crying over some picture on the internet now. Thanks Obama.

11 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Condolences. And. Best Thanks Obama I've seen in a while.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

fun fact: he got adopted by an american family after this interview, but then they decided they didn't want him. by fun i mean devastating.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Never before in my life have I ever wanted to aggressively hug someone this badly.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

This hits me harder then most. I have a 4 year old son and i dread doing this to him.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Everytime this image gets posted, I always go back and watch Andrei's story. And yes, as a parent, it hits really fucking hard.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well on the bright side he could end up Batman...

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes...I like that.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Oh, what have you seen, my blue-eyed son? What have you seen, my darling young one?"

11 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Bob Dylan. Perfect.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh boy. Crying to the max.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

THAT LOOK AT THE END!!!!! THAT LOOK AT THE ENDDDDDD!!!!!

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That kid is trying to hard to be strong. Holy shit.

11 years ago | Likes 585 Dislikes 2

I meant *so* hard...not "to" hard. I guess when there's something that sad, people don't even bother to correct someone.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

That dude is stronger than some grown ass people I know and I want to hug him and buy him all the toys

11 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 0

I couldn't agree more. By "grown ass people I know", I am including myself. So sad.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

TIL I am not as strong as this kid.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Right?? Holding those tears in, fighting so hard to keep it together. I sob watching commercials...

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It's actually hard growing up as a boy too. But, we don't complain about it.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Someone at that age shouldn't have to be...so sad.

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I agree. That age should be cops and robbers and sandboxes. But really, kids worldwide have to endure so much, so young. Tragic, really.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Well, welcome to the world. Bad things happen. Good things too.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Mostly bad things though.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's all in the eye of the beholder, man. Your percieve what you want to.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My dad past away when I was 13. I had a dream a week or so after where I was woken up (in my dream) by a sound in my room, but it (1)

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

wasn't scary or spooky, doe. It was a piece of chalk clicking against one of them old school slate tablets kids used back in olden (2)

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

days. "Who's there?" I asked the empty room. "It's daddy" I heard in my father's kind voice. I woke immediately after. 25 years (3)

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

and the memory of this dream still haunts me... in a good happy way, but also in a 'oh, now I've gone and made me sad' way too.

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

thanks for sharing <3

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

sorry :(

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No worries. I got Danquan and his dad's abuse of toasters to cheer me up.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Just watched the source video :( poor kid - after this was adopted in America. The family then 'took him back' and another family adopted

11 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

and then his brother died, so by age 21, he was the only member of his family alive. Poor Andrei

11 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Did the child actually have that high of a vocabulary?

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yes

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No idea. It's subtitled from Russian. He could be talking about ponies for all we know.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why'd the first mother hate him? Why adopt if you're so hateful?! People are weird.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I inferred that the kid was adopted in America.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is part of a great documentary. This kid had a terrible life even when he came to the US.

11 years ago | Likes 81 Dislikes 3

Her first adoptive mother told him to go back to Russia

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

How did his parents die?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How so? I am curious.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

If i remember his brother dies soon after... :(

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

He gets adopted after the clip shows and his new American mom hates him. I think at the end though hes studying to do stuff with computers

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

From what I remember his foster parents just changed there mind about him one day - really sad

11 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I thought he ended up with a new, better family.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

he became attached to the dad but the mom hated him, so they changed their minds. sadder: his brother died too :(

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's horrible! You just can't change your mind.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah it is mind boggling - on a lighter note I am a true fan of that username!

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why thank you thank you :)

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I watched this too, I don't remember it very well though, didn't he end up in the army? Or living alone? Either way, really sad :(

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was glad when he said he didn't want to be filmed anymore. Seemed like he was deciding to take some control of his life.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 6

I seem to remember he was coding on a computer in Florida (back before when it was quite normal)

Russia should really invade and fix this.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Before I had my son, this sort of stuff made me sad. Now it's like it physically hurts to read. We have a plan for him though, should we die

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

11 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 1

I'm the eldest by 10 years. My parents made arrangements to leave my brothers in my care should they die. I don't like to think about it.

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

We both have life insurance through the Army (sad, but get even more if he's killed in combat) and who would get our son as well.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

that is good.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

but I was thinking about the emotional part

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, he's 3.5, so that will be awful. He grew up with my sister as nearly a 2nd mom before we moved, so hopefully that would help.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

hmmm. always the worst part is who to give the child to, if something happens to you.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

11 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

And you are on the Internet while she does this.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

11 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Fortunately my family all lives in the same town, so he will be well cared for.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It's good you have a plan. I wouldn't trust my sister to raise my kids if something happened to me.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

11 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

The part about the dream is especially heart-wrenching.

I would have so many damn issues if I lived that kid's life... getting sent back to the orphanage by his adoption parents... dayam.

11 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

I know. And he does end up with attachment issues - not a doctor here, but he remains disconnected from people. It's really sad.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ok, that was heartbreaking. His first adoptive family gave him up? God damn. Poor guy :(

11 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 0

Yeah...that's incredibly selfish. I don't understand how people can do things like that to people who depend on them.

I think he ended up doing alright. I saw the 7, 14, and 21 episodes. All the kids at least improved their conditions

Thank you! I'm definitely not strong enough to watch the documentary. Looking at him is heart-wrenching as it is! I'm glad he's better. :)

I think I saw something in one of his last interviews about how he doesn't like this project anymore or something

I keep up with this as I'm the same age as them. This guy is living in the US now, I think he's a computer programmer or something.

I'm in the US. I want to go hug him.
