Absolutely a crop sensor. That looks like a canon t2i. Apsc sensor.

Yes crop sensor, looks like a Canon Rebel, not sure which one. It's heavily zoomed in camera, so maybe a 70-200 = 112-480 with aps-c.

If I had to work it out. The back is identical to the Canon EOS 550D. Lens would likely be the EF 75-300mm based on price of the body.

Not OP and can't speak to what they used but most people I know used a strong neutral density filter (12-16 stops to let much less (1/?)
