So I started a new D&D campaign with some friends last month and I’m taking on the role of DM for the first time. It’s such a fun and new experience. Also-Am playing a land druid currently. No plate for me and i only heal the team in combat when someone goes down, my theory is that

mid combat healing really only slows things down, and if i can do 3x the damage to the enemy than i can heal we are more likely to survive

Nah man, moon druid. Fuck everything up, have shit ton of temp health can heal temp health easily. Summon wolves, bonus action turn.

There's some truth to that. In-combat healing gives your opponent more time to kill you, its far better if they never hit your actual HP
