It still feels like January. Even though it's almost March. Let's get this bread.

I use mine for The Glory of Pippin.

Honestly, this is a... sort of dread of mine.

The battle of Chaeronea, 338 Bc

Granted, the fish SHOULD scatter if you're a predator.

I'm just weird.

Been there, done that.

A very obscure reference to All Tomorrows, by C.M. Kozeman. Seriously wild ride of a work, let me tell you.

*throws a plucked chicken into the chat*

The last time I took a shot, she left me emotionally crippled and deeply sad. So it was a success, I guess.

I'm afraid of having that same ending again, more so than rejection. Rejection merely sucks a little in comparison to having Aztec wetwork done on your heart.

I don't know, but if you're an emo girl who wants to build a Dyson sphere with this country boy, hit me up.

You know, this is a good point. If I ever take up a paintbrush and do iconography depicting the Last Judgement, I'm going to keep this in mind.

It does take time and hard work, but it's worth it.

I feel like this would be a great character or NPC in a DnD game. He doesn't fit in my current setting, though.

This has been hard to realize.

Serious question guys. My setting is loosely based on the 3Rd Century AD Crisis in the Roman Empire.

You never know.

Idk if I'm exactly hot, but I am sure weird.

Hey, for you all who have a CPAP, what hacks have you come up with to both keep the mask on through the night, and to keep the hose and mask together? One of the reasons it's not working so well is either somehow the mask comes off, or the hose detaches, leaving me gasping for air.

Would welcome some ideas.

I do have a sword....

Savennières is a specific wine/wine region in the Loire Valley that is made/focused on Chenin Blanc.

Pippin tax. Finally through most of the Museum of Northern Arizona photos... look at that sweet Ancestral Puebloan pottery.

Pippin's message for the day: "What the fuck? No. Oh boy! I love you."

+1 for Pippin alone.

#23 I think Mistborn is a pretty good example.

#5 Tech progress doesn't usually take the form you expect. Consider last year, most people didn't know about ChatGPT

and this year I got an e-mail from IT security because someone was using ChatGPT to do their work and just NO.

That utterly absurd situation can happen in Torg Eternity, my all-time favorite TTRPG! /gallery/xViPyzs/comment/2308717697

@OP I wrapped a layer of tape around the part of the mask nozzle that fits in the hose for a tighter fit. I have the type of mask that 1/2

inflates a little when turned on for a much better fit. I used to tie a bandana around it to keep it on better. Bon chance!

When people start laughing at their own jokes like this is one of my favorite things in life

That was an absolute mess. I loved it. (Especially the guy trying not to laugh.)

Both my ex and my dad have CPAPs, they both wear a kind of high school wrestling helmet thing made out of stretchy cloth.

@OP - This absurd art is from the TTRPG Torg Eternity which I HIGHLY recommend - It is fantastic!

He's got the Yellowstone brand on his chest. Or did Yellowstone steal it from Torg Eternity?

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I dunno lol - they have a mixture of legitimately awesome and absurdly awkward art in their product, but the RPG itself is top-tier fun.

#23 Middle-earth is basically an example of this. The Hobbit came out in the 30s, LotR in the 50s and the silmarillion in the 70s.

3 years ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 0

He finished stories within his universe, but I don't know if he counts considering his last published work was literally Unfinished Tales.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

True, but that's based on the publishing date. Parts of the Silmarillion (the stuff about Earendil) were the first conceived in 1914. My ...

... interpretation of this question is whether or not an author can create new supplementary material to one of their existing works.

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

And this still works. Much of the silmarillion was conceived and started first, then the Hobbit was written and published, name dropping a

@OP what kind of hats do people wear? Is there a significance to certain hat styling?

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There are several different hats. Farmers and people working in the sun have straw hats for shade with high visibility: the rich have

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pillbox style hats, and women, especially rich ones, go about veiled. Veiled doesn't mean covered completely though. It's a money thing.

Re:Cpap- not sure which machine you have. I have a Resmed air sense 10, and I use an AirFit F20 mask and Climate Line Air heated tube. 1/X

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Resmed Airsense 11 w/p10 nose mask. I've never had the hose come loose from the mask. But maybe tape? Or it might be a bad hose or mask.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Suggest new hose if it's coming loose. I use the nose pillows and they mostly stay put. Took 3 diff styles to settle on pillows

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My suggestion was going to be duct tape.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I haven’t run into your issue so something works about this combination. I also use a fancy pillow too ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

May need a new hose, supposed to replace every X months. My last hose started losing grip at connection and coming loose too.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Packing tape worked til I got the new hose. Just keep playing with headband til you find good fit that works, I usually do too tight

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I use a zip tie. Just tighten the everliving fuck out of it, then snip off the extra bit so it doesn't poke me in the eye.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And mask/nose pillows may be too old and not forming good seal.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I had a collection of various headbands, none of which were "perfect," but I also had the nostril mask, not the regular ones because of my /

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

beard. But then my nostrils started getting irritated and "thick" (like calloused). Now I just sleep on my side with no CPAP.

#5 Same. I feel like fusion energy is a pipe dream and interstellar flight will only ever be fiction. We'll be a blip geologically speaking.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

This is how I look at it: I knew that /gallery/nhllC0c

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fossil fuels are inherently finite so we *can't* persist in pure stasis indefinitely. We'll *have* to either adapt to use new energy >

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We have Fission energy RN but sadly where harnessing very little of it because of overblown public fear, that would help a lot to solve it

The "meme" is objectively wrong, there's a lot to invent and create it's just that people have bad ideas and expectations about how science1

3 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

And tech works because of movies es and futurist tales. It systematically progresses but in different ways and speeds depending on the 2/

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Field, there are very hard to crack problems (which some have been solved) and problems that just need to be solved one thing at a time 3/

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

And it takes time, also science is no linear because it's not only there to solve present issues but to understand the universe around us 4/

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

In any case, fusion energy is very plausible to become real in the future just not in 20 or 30 years like the media and "entrepreneurs" 5/

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Even with fusion, interstellar flight is energy prohibitive. The rocket equation isn't the only obstacle. The science is wacky fun!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As for fusion itself, now that China is hitting advancements, *everyone* else is stepping up their games. Fusion is being developed in the

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

commercial sector, with some amazing innovations, which is likely to make it happen. Like how spacex et al changed the space sector.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

in the meantime, fission mini-reactors are likely to populate the energy sector, both on earth and space.
