Why shouldn't I skip on leg day? Wouldn't skipping be good for... Oh...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes of course i have all that random ass equipment...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yeah, no

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Front squat. Back squat. overhead squat. Deadlift. Clean and jerk, snatch. Done. Fuck sakea

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

If I favorite enough fitness posts maybe I'll get fit one day

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Fuck you and your exercise post. Also, take my upvote.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is how you spend twice as long in the gym, and wind up half as strong, as the dude who does compound exercises, like squats and rows

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm sorry but, each of these (especially the first three) sound like advanced sex positions

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just squat. None of this silly crap. Go find a barbell and squat to- or below parallel.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There is a fifth muscle of the quadriceps that is often forgotten, called the articularis genus. We're also going to forget about it here.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Here's what I do on my leg day, squats, deadlifts and running away from my responsibilities.

10 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

Aka deinking right?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or drinking whatever though

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You got it.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Leg extensions are a thing of the past, if you wanna fuck up your knees go ahead though. Compound lifts are the way to go.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can't you just get away with doing like three exercises for your chest, legs, and arms? Half of these exercises look like they cause harm.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

leg press calf raises squats deadlifts and lunges

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you want to destroy your legs try this, I'm still not walking:- http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/build-monster-legs-with-this-workout

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

squat to depth

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

SQUAT (back and front), DEADLIFT, LUNGES, REPEAT. REAP HARVEST OF GAINZ

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

what if my gym doesnt have barbells, only dumbells, kettlebells and machines? Can I replicate the same effects?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Short answer: no. Long answer: No. Find a real gym. Nothing engages your central nervous system and body like squats and deadlifts.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, like Im not going to find and pay money for a gym when I get this one for free at work. Im asking if I can do squats and DLs with dumbs

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Technically, yes. Practically, no, because with dumbbells all the weight is pushing on your shoulders and elbows instead of your back.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

cool ok

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a Postman, every day is leg day

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This entire thing is the dumbest shit I have seen so far. Don't bother unless you're really into heavy defining.

10 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 4

jokes on you, I am all about heavy defining!

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

WHY CAN'T PEOPLE JUST DO FUCKING SQUATS?! CHRIST

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If you want to fuck up your knees and have overdeveloped quads (in relation to the rest of your legs), do leg extensions and leg curls.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

DO NOT DO LEG EXTENSIONS YOU CAN FUCK UP YOUR LEGS THAT WAY

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Source?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Barbell squats. This is a momentous failure.

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 4

Google 'Barbell' to enjoy your momentous failure

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't see the archetypal barbell squat in this pic. Just less-effective variations.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No matter what you do, calves won't grow

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

calves grow but ankles don't, just like your under arm and wrist.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So how do we get steak?

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

+1

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lol, high socks :')

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you attempt the barbell hip thrust at your local gym you are gonna get laughed at

10 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 4

Make eye contact if someone starts laughing and just stare at them the whole time.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Stare until the point that you throw out your hip flexor and realize you should have just been squatting

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Then laugh at my beautiful ass

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Done and done

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Women do this at my gym constantly

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because ladies hardly ever lift, I'd let it pass. If they are serious lifters, you'd be doing em dirty if you didnt recommend squats

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I do it in short shorts, another guy does it with 495 (not a typo) no one laughs at us

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm guessing that you are Mr Magic and he is Super Rock? Shake and bake, brother

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I see what you did there. Don't let the short short fool you, I am Super Rock

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

All trash. Squats, deadlifts.

10 years ago | Likes 163 Dislikes 8

It takes more than that, good to throw in rehab type exercises to make sure your posterior chain works well

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also lungessss

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Deadlifts are great and all, but they aren't a good leg exercise. It's like saying do pushups to get large arms :/

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

Do a few sets of heavy deadlifts and tell me how your hamstrings feel tomorrow

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Hey probably lifts with his back

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can deadlift about 200kgs... RDLs and leg curls (both suggested in the infograph) destroy my hams at less than half that weight

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not saying that those don't work, but any hip extension exercise is moved by the posterior chain, which includes the hamstrings.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I agree but tossing in some accessory movements helps your squat and deadlift gainzzzzzz.

10 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

LUNGES

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sure but tbh, those exercices depicted here aren't very good accessories either.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I see like 4 good accessory movements. Many I wouldn't be caught dead doing.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

true but they shouldn't be the main focus of your session

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Oh dear god no! If my entire lifting workout was just accessory... That sounds awful...

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My absolute favourite exercises

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Don't you mean absoglute favorite!?

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

That pun really lifted my spirits!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Your swolemate should always spot good puns.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Squats and deadlifts are good but if you want overall muscle development isolating those leg muscles is a must.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 4

You're right, but it's more fun having these folks come up to us in the gym and ask how to achieve the results.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I used to do squats but they did nothing for my calves. I did deadlifts and such as well. This helps me isolate them.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

SQUATS! SQUATS! SQUATS! SQUATS! SQUATS! SQUATS! SQUATS! SQUATS! SQUATS! SQUATS! SQUATS! SQUATS! SQUATS! SQUATS! SQUATS! SQUATS! SQUATS!

logged in to say, well basically this. you get an upvote instead.

To be fair, Dave is probably an endomorph who has never seen the outside of the gym, and lefty is certainly in the ectomorphic side as drawn

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Somatotypes are pseudoscience concocted in the 40s by a psychologist. This is like a biologist coming up with a quantum physics theory.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was not aware!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You'll get better results by adding some running and a few body weight rehab type stuff

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But that would require me to run

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a struggle for me too, just do it. If you run after you lift you don't have to go as far before getting tired

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can never get squats right. My back or knees always hurt and it hurts when I try to jump.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why are you jumping?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I spook easily at the squat rack. No, but seriously, I mean jumping when not in the gym, even a day later.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I see, I am glad you are not jumping when attempting to squat
