Is that why loki does his best to make the ladies wet?
CanduReactor
Wait, Nicolas Cage is Francis Ford Coppolas nephew?
farwall
I've previously heard the one about the dolls was related specifically to X-Men toys, they argued mutants aren't human.
BetterOffTedDeservedAnotherSeason
I feel like the Damage Control representative would be in a better mood considering how much bank they make off of super antics.
BeardyMcFace
Spider-Man also had another Nazi villain called Skinhead, the White Redeemer. He could turn his body into an amorphous blob of flesh.
theCrowForetold
Wutang Clan ain't nothing to f*ck with.
razikh
thank you so very much for censoring that word, my 3 year old dog uses this web-site and he was in tears the last time someone wrote 'poo'
TotallyOriginalName
What about Beta Ray Bill, he was also worthy of Thor's Hammer? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoj7XWByCaI

DC's Captain Marvel comic has been published under the name Shazam since 1972. The character was officially renamed Shazam in 2011.

#5 "sign it where marked, write your social security number on it, and return it."
Cobaltios
Huh, so apparently Wonder Man is going to be in GotG 2... curious...
raguzythemagnificent
Does that mean mystique is truely gender fluid?
azazyel
"it's weird" no kidding

'By gumbo' - George R. R. Martin
Skatedeandre
IIRC Dr.Doom earned or was given a doctorate by the latveria university after he came to power
SinisterSlacks
...When marvel held the doctor who license? An I'm genuinely confused at that wording.
farwall
Marvel used to have the license to publish Doctor Who comics (now IDW does, I think.) When they had that licence, the character mentioned1/2
farwall
2/2 was in the comics. When they lost the license, they retained the rights to that character but now he's redundant.
SinisterSlacks
Thank you! Don't really do comics, thanks
GILE5
Wow. Rom: Spaceknight. I'd forgotten that even existed. Thanks, OP. =)
PressedRatAndWarthog
I have all of them (bought them as they were printed when I was a kid). Now they're worth... not much.
minivanracer
I actually have issue one of the NFL comic.
dreadfroggy
As I understood it, Nicholas used Cage because it was the English word for his real last name. He did not want to use his uncle's fame.
NeilGretzky
Needs more Iceman.
Actualvet
I had a Rom toy that turned on spontaneously and freaked out my mom while she was alone. It had Darth Vader like breathing.
TeethLikeChiclets
TIL George R. R. Martin uses phrases like "by gumbo". Really changes how I want the speeches of Game of Thrones' characters to play out.
DisgruntledFerret
#1 I did wonder about this. DC uses the compound "Superhero", while Marvel Comics seems to consistently use the separated "Super Hero".
ThisTreeIsDurRunk
I remember Siembieda bitching about it when he first launched Heros Unlimited back in the 80's
Shepsus
If you'd ask Stan Lee, he'd probably say, "Anyone can be a Hero, these guys are just Super."
terryr
G.I.Joes COBRA is just HYDRA with new snake themed costumes. Red Skull became Cobra Commander, Madame Hydra became Madame Cobra.

How can superman and wonder woman hold Thor's hammer if they're dc?
Boats4Goats
There was a JLA/Avengers crossover http://in.ign.com/comics/67578/feature/12-other-characters-who-have-lifted-thors-hammer-m?p=2
DarkArrow096
I would watch a show about #43
swatz
Fuck'in Foggy lost his dog, gambling? Pfft!
BingoBangoBoom
I may be wrong, but I think he lost it to Weasel (Deadpool's buddy), who gave it to blind Al (Deadpool's roommate) as a seeing eye dog.
swatz
Well that only makes it ok as far as the dog went to a good place, but he still gambled someones dog away! hehe I never read much DD.
BingoBangoBoom
To be honest, I don't read much DD either, but I do read a lot of Deadpool. It was a crossover issue from 1997.

Imagine pulling "Damage Control" detail as a Super Hero. Cleaning up after all those ass hats destroying the city every other week...
iftheshoefitz
An attempt at illegally drumming up business by them was what caused civil war in the comics
robviously
I believe one of the major networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, etc) is adapting this as the first "superhero" comedy tv show
hstein3
In the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, he's assigned to work with them for a day to appreciate the work they do.
Shadew
http://www.webtoons.com/en/fantasy/shadow/list?title_no=281 There's also a korean manhwa with the same concept.
Tunisia
Comic spoilers: Damage Control actually starts the Civil War to drum up more business.
HeyGuysAmIRelevantYet
Came here to say this. Doin' god's work son.
farwall
I just read that in the Wolverine comics a week or two back (I reread all the Civil War tie-ins.)
HawasKaPujari
People confuse that Thor's power comes from Mjolnir, but Thor without his hammer is as strong as any top tier superhero.
aselfdefeatingattitude
What about him with Thorr's hammer?
HawasKaPujari
Hammer acts for fine control and fast trasport, better energy Manipulation etc. I think real augmentation comes with
HawasKaPujari
Odin force. Thor with Odin force can go toe to toe with Thanos and Galactus etc.
aselfdefeatingattitude
What about when he turned into a disabled doctor when he didn't have it? How about that MR. SMARTYPANTS?!
HawasKaPujari
Are you talking about movies? I am talking about comics. Even at that point, it was Odin, who took his power away for being a rebel.
aselfdefeatingattitude
He used to be disguised as Dr. Blake, if he was away from his hammer too long he turned back into him.
Zachno
I'm gonna need a diagram to explain the Longshot-Shatterstar lineage.
PianoMan2112
I haven't read the comics, but from the diagram I drew, it looks like he went back in time & banged his grandma.

The way I read it, they're dancestors to each other
spoon89
Longshot got Dazzler pregnant, the child was Shatterstar. Shatterstar traveled back in time, Longshot was created from his genetic material.

You see, when a man loves a woman very much......
KrakedUp
They don't always have to love them....
ExclusiveGamer
Uhh I think they both. Impregnated a single women to make 2 girls, then slept with each others daughter to make the other?

Zaayl
I think...Shatterstar went back in time, became his own granfather and sired longshot, who then sired Shatterstar, who then sired longshot.
Zaayl
So somehow Shatterstar had the same son twice? I dont fucking know. Comics.
DragonLordG
You only need to birth your father once to be your own grandfather...
Zaayl
Longshot is also his own grandfather too, they are each others father and son, theres more than once going on here.
DragonLordG
No, if you birth your father, then you are your father's father; your father's father's father is himself. It's a loop of 2 already.
TallWall
There was some past nastification happening with each other's mom/grandmother.
slack3rdav3
and now they both lack the delta brain wave.

Fuck Liefeld!
MattTheRadarTechnicianAndTotallyNotKyloRen
Who drew this? Why is it so bad?
subzero600
Rob Lefield and because it's Rob Lefield.
Kappa043
The guy who created Shatterstar and associated characters, Rob Liefeld. Considered by many to be the worst big-budget comics artist ever.
