He takes out his big 10 inch?

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

It's a record. Of the band that plays the blues. A record is a flat, round vinyl thing that was used to play music in the distant past.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Old school vinyl records had a ten inch diameter.

False title. This is Lindy Hop.

3 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

23 Skidoo?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s all irritating

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Boogie Woogie is a separate but connected dance style to Lindy that is more popular in europe. The exact distinctions can be blurry though.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The end was definitely more Lindy Hop, but overall too kicky for it to be just Lindy Hop though, isn’t it?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lindy Hop is just the basic movement. Plenty of tricks and embellishments don’t remove from that.

We do not need a Cherry Poppin' Daddies revival in 2023. Now, I might be on board for a Squirrel Nut Zippers reunion.

I really don't like this style of dancing. I find it weird.

3 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 12

I think the dancing is great but feel like these people would have annoying voices

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ok, Loosey Goosey Brett:)

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

All dancing is weird

3 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

If it isn't wierd, it isn't dancing.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You're entitled to you silly opinions.

3 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 6

I also hate that feeling when I misspell a word in a comeback and it takes the edge off the intended sting. Bummer.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

"You're entitled to you, silly opinions!"

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You're weird! We're all weird! Go have fun.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

This.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is far from improvised. This is choreographed.

3 years ago | Likes 772 Dislikes 67

maybe, or maybe just a bunch of theatre nerds? my daily life involves a lot of excellent impromptu singing and dancing due to this.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As a professional drunk dancer I can clearly say that... *burp* I don't know.

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Also, that girl is carry-on sized.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Username checks out.

3 years ago | Likes 83 Dislikes 0

Let me argue with you, nope it isn't. They just know how to dance properly with good leading and following. Source: me, dance teacher.

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Think of it like improvised music where you might have a general sense of where you want it to go, & have some riffs/licks picked out...

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It’s a series of small patterns strung together “on the fly” to create amalgamations. The patterns are choreographed, their order is not. /1

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

/2 The leader “leads” the random patterns in an effort to sync and emphasize key moments in the music. This is what makes it “improv.”

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

. Maybe not choreographed but they have danced with each other before.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I've taken many dance classes, but I'm no good. The leader, normally the guy, initiates each move, they both need to know the moves though.

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Friend. (even though you're wrong)

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Each part is a practiced move but the sequence is easily improvised.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks more like an instructor/invitational demo. Lots of call/response moves from a par that’s danced lots together

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s not. There are individual moves and cues you practice but when and what order you string them together in is up to you and the music.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

If it was, that ass flash would have been less hesitant. She wasn't expecting it.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

ssshhhhh... the imgur kiddies are on a roll.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Queue Danny Kaye

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

mmm... the steps are standar, but that is not a choreo

3 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 4

It's West Coast Swing if im not mistaken: you can go check out diffs between improed and choreoed. The leader leads, she's clearly following

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is east coast swing afaik.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No sir, those are called "moves". They have "moves"

3 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

So are you good at anything or

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Ask your mom...

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

So definitely not.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

She's in her 70s. Good for her at this point.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Some might say that it's staged.

3 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 8

Lol,well I enjoyed the pun

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No wonder you’re awake at 2:00 am, you should try herbal.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think he needs a licence to carry that pun.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Talented people can improvise on the spot and make it look like they knew what they were doing all along. Same with musicians.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd say they know each other, and the 'big 10 inch'

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Nope, it isn't. The tricks they do are chosen on the spot by the leader (the dude).

3 years ago | Likes 148 Dislikes 14

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I don’t think you can pull off randomly spinning someone 360 degrees on your shoulder unless they know your going to

3 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 20

They've both done each move before. But it's an improvised routine.

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yes you can, look at salsa and bachata. It's the same, the dude leads the way

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a dancer there's small cues that you give that are hardly noticeable. They most likely Dance together a ton and know ea others body lang

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Maybe YOU can't, but I do it all the time. People I run into on the subway are frequently surprised.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Improv, in this instance, doesn't mean you haven't practiced different movements. It means that they are picked randomly as they dance.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just like in martial arts, experienced dancers can tell that a specific move is on its way from subtle hints that nondancers can't see.

3 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

Clearly both have to know the moves, but i do lindyhop and this dances are known to allow a lot of freestyle of each partner as long as...

3 years ago | Likes 87 Dislikes 1

... the basic moves are in line. You can see him do all the leading with his hand and the kinetic energy actually. Its beautiful.

3 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 0

There are def parts where he looks to be leading, and one where he follows but that spin..I dunno..

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

That particular spin is typically banned at most social dances because you both need to know how to do it. And it's not like you can do

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Just anything at any random time. I can get a follow to jump in the air at the exact same time without any sort of cue other than shifting

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My weight. Like with normal ground spins you sort of indicate that a spin is coming then the follow adds flair to it.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I must, I'm so sorry - you're* going to.

3 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 2

Man. Your the second person in like two days. And an atom at that.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Actually it's *UR da 2nd purse son n 2 daze.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I already did and I AIN'T SORRY

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Ah yes everything freestyle is choreographed ~random sad imgurian

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

Weird how that’s not what I said ? You alright guy? Projecting a bit

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 8

How can this be true when they time her butt wiggle to the long note? If you know the song and plan for things in it, that's choreographed.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Is there a butt wiggle in there somewhere? Where??

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When you're dancing around the house to a song you know and think "oh, at the end of this line, Imma pause and kick", is that choreographed?

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Both of them did it. This wasn't some impromptu decision in the moment. Which is fine! But why pretend it is?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bc I would argue that you improvised that move moments before. You don't have a plan for the whole song, but you make in the moment plans.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Especially the pause and in-synced clap by both dancers.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Not really, you can lead into those fairly easy if you know your partner. Source: 10 years of social swing dancing

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I wish we had this in East Tennessee.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The acrobatics show that they have danced a lot together though, you never do that with a random partner. That would be terrifying.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Instructor level knowledge/experiences they’ve def done tours of lessons
