”a Corinthian girl” was nearly synonymous with a slut in ancient Greece, thanks to the sacred temple. The Corinthian order of columns – of which I am a big fan – is the reason for my artist name; all historical facts of the sacred temple just coincidentally happen to match my name. #history #art

Still frame of the artwork #art

Happy artist for a third time on this theme #artists_of_imgur

This is really cool, I'd buy a poster of this.

Daughters of Corinth IS a synonymous with prostitutes. They didn't put all those dicks on vases for no reason.

Lovely! Do you have a place to watch the rest of your art work. I’m quite intrigued

I think the old temples encouraged the prostitutes to hang around. B/c they brought worshippers in, and the prostitutes donated some of their money to the temples. A person could have two religious experiences in one location.

I would buy this

But do they wear that rich, corinthian leather?

History and bondage, one of my absolute favorite subjects! I love me a good tight box-tie :D

Thats pretty cool, i love the old greek art style, how much of a pain is it to the line work before hand?

Hey, thanks! First I put my thoughts down on plain paper and I try to include all components of the drawing that I got in mind, then I transfer it to my iPad and perfect proportions, rearrange it to balance up white space/positive space and re-pose my characters. Both steps take about an hour, and the same goes for the colouring process.

About an hour each that is, but it is always a good point to let time pass inbetween to develop a fuller picture in your head. Also, this is my third attempt at this style.

The apostle Paul honed his chops in Corinth.

I have to go back and reread 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. No mention of women though. Lol

A good case of righteous indignation depends heavily on personal commitment to all dimensions of the fleshpot for as long as possible to achieve the emptiness necessary for sainthood.

Slutty ancient art? Color me intrigued

It’s crazy how museum curators being embarrassed about our ancestors’ proclivities has led to the view (it’s eroding more these days) that the majority of people in antiquity were strait laced and prudish.

"For ritual purposes" usually means either "ancient sex toy" or "we've got no fuckin clue"

3 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Or they just hide/never display any artworks that depict or hint at sex

3 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

They're still matching like boxes of 10000 dicks from statues that git fig leafed in italy.

Don't make a joke about having a Corinthian column, don't make a joke about a Corinthian column. I've got a Corinthian...um...penis for you! Nailed it.

Haha! I believe you can truly see the simple mind of a girl like me…

Not simple, uncomplicated.

For future reference, if you want a word that sounds positive to describe something being less complex, my go-to is "elegant".

3 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Streamlined
Efficient
Concise
Optimized

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Now you are just being un-uncomplicated.

Another word that you might find highly useful at some point is "callipygian". It's not related to the post, it's just a nice one to know.
