Oh you're a funny mother f**ker huh? Take your points and be merry

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is so stupid. +1

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I ran windows 2000 NT for years before I "upgraded".

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Everybody is remarking about the omission of XP, while no one is mentioning Vista.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

but what the fuck do the numbers stand for? ohhhh

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seems legit

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Windows 2k is a little unfair. Also are you sure that Playstation one is right? I thought PS2 outsold everything.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

PlayStation!

Some of those products are made by a company that uses the metric system.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

@OP graphs of what? Sales? Profit? Units sold? Production cost?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What about FIFA?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You smartass. Goddammit. lol

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

that first pic is windows giving us the finger :D

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's why you should never name your Operating systems after big cats. It doesn't graph well.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Reminds me of when I tried to explain to my sister how I bought her kids an Xbox One and that its NEWER than the Xbox 360 they already have.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do one for Nintendo. Probably look like a earthquake record

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

But wouldn't there only be one number because of the N64 (not sure if 2ds/3ds count)

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Can someone explain this for my friend?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The numbers in the product names are used as values for the graphs.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

This is stupid. Advanced stupid, in fact. But the good kind of advanced stupid, the kind that gets you a +1.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

OK, those are kinda funny.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Definitely proves two things, anyone can come up with a graph to illustrate non-linear facts and Bea Arthur is still the sexiest golden girl

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Windows 2000 was (the) shit!

9 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 2

it was so good its still supported by developers.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I really liked Win2k as well. I skipped XP entirely for my desktop machine, it didn't offer me anything amazing that 2K didn't already have

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also ME

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

OH my Jesus no, we don't talk about ME

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wasn't 2000 in the NT series and shouldn't be included here?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

More accurate to say Win2k was the first OS that merged NT with the desktop line.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2000 was fairly good actually, leagues better than ME. It just under-performed for games because it is at its core a server OS like NT

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

2000 Professional was a workstation OS just like XP, 7, and 10 Professional. NT was also for WSs. XP and 2k were near identical perf-wise.

I liked XP

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It was like clean xp

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It was aight. Then they decided you need to buy a new graphics card to upgrade.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just a sidenote: Vista support ended today

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Ah, the metric system

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Technically it was just Playstation therefor 0 - much like Xbox

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

but they did make a ps one

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It was only called PS1 after PS2 came out.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

This is how I annoy my car friends.. The Saab 9000. That's gotta be the best car. Better the crappy McLaren p1.

9 years ago | Likes 97 Dislikes 4

Makes the Saab 8999 look like a go kart.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

My first car was a Saab 9000 CSE Aero 2.3T jubilee edition etc. etc. Recently I got to drive a Tesla Model S. I think we have a clear winner

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think infinitys are pretty rad

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm surprised you have friends with humor like that

by that logic the honda S2000 is the GOAT of all cars.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Depends on what the letter represents, in this case I assume it's Planck's constant x1 which is 6.626x10^-34. So clearly it's really bad

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Worser still: Fiat X1/9

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Worser still: Fiat X1/9

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I had a 900, almost as good

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Some will argue better.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Definitely

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a car guy, I love Saabs. Especially the old ones they made when they started making cars

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty sure the next best is the AUDI 5000.

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

even my elderly AW11 is better than the McLaren

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Damn right it is better.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Now solve for XP.

9 years ago | Likes 896 Dislikes 2

... Me then NT

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Answer: potatoes.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So good it is off the charts

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

rawr

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I believe XP was Windows 6.1 in the source?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I tried and got ME?

9 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

[x̂,p̂ₓ]=iħ

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

P is Peta, or 1e15, so XP is 999999999999990. Which is why it was THE BEST EVER.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

X is 10 in Roman and P is the first letter of platypus therefore XP = a small platypus colony. In theory of course

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

10 platypi?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Isn't XP basically Windows 6.0?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

5.1

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

me

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The nerd in me giggles at these; the engineer in me is screaming LABEL YOUR AXES!!!. +1

9 years ago | Likes 417 Dislikes 14

The engineer in you is also failing to realize that adding axes labels serves no purpose and actually makes these charts useless.

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 4

What would you label them? You mean like "woodcutting" "throwing" "battle" "guitar"

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 3

I'm going to have to go with the SMBC default axis label:

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Comic with the bonus panel and source listed: /a/XX5WG

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Table top figure bottom... Table top figure bottom... Table top figure bottom... Table top figure bottom... Table top figure bottom.........

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The CAD guy in me is screaming "where is your version control"

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Today i learned 2000 is more than 98

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Username checks out

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ones for trees the other is for throwing.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

What exactly is the Y axis measuring though?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Did you just assume the axis gender? For all you know that could be the Z axis!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The name of the versions. Like how a Windows 98 scores 98 and a Windows 2000 scores a 2000

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Axis?

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 11

He's an engineer, not a historian.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

You don't have to be a historian to know the correct pluralization of axis.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Hint: It's axes.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm annoyed the windows graph wasn't using time on the X axis, it just looks stupid

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

No one else seems to understand that the plural for axis is axes

9 years ago | Likes 80 Dislikes 2

No it's axisesezeneresi

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

its not axii?

9 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

No, that's a rune from The Witcher

9 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

That would be plural of axius. probably. Latin wasn't actually much more consistent with plurals than modern english.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Axen

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm a teacher, children fear me when I demand axes!
