My daughter is 30. You never stop raising your kids. You scale back ..but I still have 20 years of knowledge to guide her with. And I will never stop being a parent. Just...more advice mode, now.
Didn't his ex say Elon kinda froze when he was forced to hold his own children? And that he would get really agitated when they were near his physical space? Doesn't sound like a man who even likes his own kids, let alone raised them.
Prompt engineering...ugh. We're going to have a wave of folks calling themselves "artists" or "code engineers" or "authors" b/c they think getting an AI to spit out a bunch of shit easily makes them that. Just from him saying what he said, he's "that" type of person.
Musk is a complete shit person. The World Health Organization told him they could probably solve world hunger with a $6 billion donation. The prick bought Twitter instead and turned it into a toilet.
Wasn't it that Musk offered to pay $6 Billion if someone could come up with a plan to beat world hunger? And then when the United Nations World Food Programme (not WHO) did, he ignored it completely?
I'm sure they're complete messes, but apparently some of them have totally cut off contact with him, so at least they're working on addressing their issues.
As someone who was able to buy a house on my own at 22 thanks to parents paying for my expensive education, it blows me away how some of my peers are so absolutely blind to the degree of privilege they have.
From listening to them, they basically just parrot the usual Republican lines about hard work, complaining about taxes, and how nobody wants to work. So I think they really just need a little bit of diversity in their lives.
Well, as someone who pulled myself up by my own bootstraps by working for my dad and putting in the bare minimum effort, I appreciate you have the perspective your peers lack.
I was talking to the guy in the cube next to me (who HAS student loans) and he was just totally shocked by me, having not had them at all, being happy about my taxes going toward student loan forgiveness, because I think it's good for society as a whole. He hasn't voted yet but if he had it would've been Republican because he cares about money for him first more than anything else.
Fun Fact: If, (0) you are in the US, and (1) they are 26 or older OR you simply stop declaring them as a dependent on your taxes, and (2) you remove them from your health insurance, and (3) they don't make much money working, then they may qualify for Medicaid, even if they live with you and you support them. This depends totally on the state rules. But, if they do qualify for Medicaid, then they can often get serious grants or tuition waivers for college.
Yh reading this stuff as a Scandinavian is always unreal. I attend university and am paid a salary for doing so. No loan, no debt, no complicated requirements to meet no grants and scholarships. Sign up, study, get paid.
My kid was kicked off my insurance at 26, as is the rule. She is a student with no income. I said "apply for medicaid" and she did. She called them for clarification on the question of household size and income. The woman said to put household size of 1 and income of 0, even though she knew my daughter lives with us.

How adorable, he learned a new term!

At first it seems insightful, but then you think about it...
mrthewhitee
No suprise, he doesn't view his kids as people, but as boxes that are meant to accept his directions and produce the results he wants.
BigDaddysMeatWagon
It isn't though. Like most things, he doesn't understand parenting nor AI
WoodHandle
Does he think he can be the fun loving cutesy guy that's trying to save the world and everyone adores? We've seen your posts FFS.

WTF is "prompt"engineering? Is that the kind of engineering the produces a car that cannot go through a car wash?
mstalltree
I hate this man so much.

As a software developer and general IT nerd this is such a cringe comment it hurts my brain.

Sure wish he had boxed someone. Even Facebook boy could take him.
MasterMookie
Yeah his parents did not bring him up right. But his kids have at least one parent that seems to have some sense.
shinagami091
Right. Musk doesn’t spend the same amount of time with his kids as regular parents do

ELON'S PARENTS: "18 years? That's how long childhood is supposed to last? Then why is it taking so much longer for our son to leave childhood?"

Naw, his dad is too busy grooming his adopted sister.

To be fair, it already was a toilet - he just madde it even more so and gave it a stupider name.

He disabled the flush.

Didn't even need this second tweet. The two sentences from the first one were already a shitshow of indecency and contradiction

I can’t even begin to imagine how royally fucked up that man’s children are.

His own dad might've named him after Das Marsprojekt and then proceeded to impregnate his adopted daughter, so well.
maxosilverhammer
God fuckin damnit.. Is that really why Elon is so horny for mars? Because his daddy named him after a project headed by NASA’s favorite nazi?
Az663
He did not deny it, when directly asked. Started spouting out something about 'unescapable destiny'.

She also doesn't use his last name and is trans, the latter of which I'm sure has something to do with why she wants nothing to do with him.

18 years? Dude, my kids are 27 and 22 and live at home because I am not one of the the world's richest people and can afford to buy them a condo.

that’s not weird anymore

i'm 47. About to move back into parents house WITH my wife, because i can't afford to live.

Do you think some of them feel guilty/undeserving or embarrassed and have some sort of complex mental block up that keeps them from realizing?

Yeah, they just have to be their own "head of household" when they apply for shit (medicaid, foodstamps, college stuff)
