ayyyyyyyyyyyyyy

There are only 2 Fallout games; the first and the second. The rest is a pile of failures...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

that game was actually trash. and kotor2 sucked as well

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fallout 3 was good tho. That simulation part where you're in a black & white matrix ... next level shit. & in line with that fallout feel.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

I love the fallouts that i've played, 3, nv, and 4 in that order. i still will play any fallout that comes out because of the immense story

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Quality af meme.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This ain't true at all. Bethesda has done a great job with the Fallout series. Obsidian can go screw off

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I started with fallout 3 but new vegas was the better game and story.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like the pedigree of Outer World's, but ....

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

fallout 3/4 suck

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 6

Honestly FNV was a let down because the Legion was as interesting as any raider group. They had so much potential, and were a total let down

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

yeah pillars of eternity is much better than fallout. upvoted.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 5

As a fan of most of Obsidians games, and most Bethesda games... both companies can fuck themselves. Obsidian less so.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 9

Fuckin' A right. F3 was my first, NV was my best, F4 is better forgotten.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm confused. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the fallout games I've played (so 3 onwards).

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Same

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Obsidian always does it better.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

My experience with both products has been exceptional.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean, fallout was never a popular series until Bethesda bought it. Nv and fo4 we're more true to the original, so they got that going

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 13

How is 4 true to the original? It has less RPG elements than the other games, your backstory was fed to you unlike the courier

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I've played every fallout game, 1-4, and NV was the only one worth playing, to be honest

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I get why people love Nv. I have yet to finish it and while I enjoy it I don't feel myself drawn to finish it or explore anymore it's weird

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Go back to it every half year. Mod it a bit. You'll somehow always end up somewhere new and find different quests

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Console ????

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In that case, do it without modding. Still fun

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Am I too old? i don't know any of these....

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Personally liked both NV and FO4, but NV gave me such a damn headache with its instability issues, almost twice as bad with me than FO4.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Wait, do people not like FO4?

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 7

I quite liked it if I'm honest. Wasn't the best game I've played but certainly kept me playing. Currently replaying through oblivion atm.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Can't stand it. Awful dialogue/choices. Shallow as hell. So very shallow. Honestly it blindsided me completely how bad it was.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I just love how you get four dialogue choices but most of the time they have the same outcome. Your choices don't matter at all. Bad RPG.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Also i wish i had been able to not kill Kellogg, seemed like a cool dude. But my dialogue choices were 4 variations of 'die you bastard!'

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It has to do with game feel. In New Vegas you felt like you were your character. YOU were the courier and you could've been anyone 1/

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

or anything. The courier's personality was shaped by you alone. While the DLC did add a point where the courier delivered mail to a place 2/

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

aside from that, the courier was your own guy. You could be the Wasteland-savvy adventurer, knowing the ins and outs of the land 3/

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

you could be a tech genius, building and repairing your way to laser and plasma weapons 4/

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

you could be a pacifist, doing your best to talk your way out of each and every situation you come across 5/

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

C'mon now everyone wanting to say Bethesda the best....no one will ever replace the original black isle did a fantastic job on the cont.

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 4

I still go back to MOST of the Black Isle games. They still hold up decently v

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Compared to F1 and 2, Bethesda fallouts are about as dark, edgy and brutal as butter.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

First 2 games....I was disappointed that 3 wasn't like the first 2 soooooo

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

I preferred Fallout 3 and 4 to New Vegas though...

8 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 40

Same. NV had so many bugs that I couldn't enjoy it.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

That's just a garbage opinion all around

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 11

On one hand, we all have different opinions on things. On other hand....

8 years ago | Likes 66 Dislikes 7

You know what i would prefer? New vegas on the FO4 engine. That would be heavenly.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

They're making it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAJ4-03Bz84

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know. Thanks anyway. :)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I liked the gameplay in new Vegas , but preferred the setting of Fallout 3

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 3

I actually go back and forth on which one I like better.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Atmosphere. Way better in 3 imho.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

Totally agree. New Vegas setting was suuuuper boring. I still prefer 3 to NV

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 5

This. New Vegas is arguably the better game, but it lacked the despair and grit of the capital wasteland.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 3

More like grit and despair of subway tunnels

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i can see that but i was a fan of the first 2 games, the sands are warm and welcoming

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I felt there was plenty of grit by the time I walked into a crucifixion party.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

You can't win the lottery if you don't play!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Degenerates like you belong on a cross.

8 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 5

I just want a PS4 version of new vegas. That'll hold me over til the next fallout or elder scrolls game.

8 years ago | Likes 78 Dislikes 6

The next six of each will be rereleases of FO4 and Skyrim, though. :(

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

There's hope though. http://www.gamingrespawn.com/news/25182/bethesda-hiring-elder-scrolls-6/ Assuming the speculation turns out to be right

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They said multiple times the team will work on two completely new IPs before TES VI will start. Also, some months ago they haven't [1]

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

even written a single line of code. It will come out in 6-8 years I guess. [2]

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I need some context here...

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

That lady farted and that fellow loves farts

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i don't really get it either, but all i notice about this pic is that those two women look like the same person

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Obsidian is the original fallout creators and bethesda took the game in 2004 after the company went bankrupt

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ditto

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Story-wise, Obsidian made LotR trilogy, while Bethesda made Hobbit trilogy but spent some $25 million more on marketing.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Best analogy ever.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Obsidian made Fallout New Vegas, a really good game, and Bethesda made all the other fallout games. That should be enough to get it ????

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

All the other 3D Fallout games. Let's not forget Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*two of the other Fallout games.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Explanation: Obsidian made New Vegas, praised by most to be the best 3D fallout game, and Bethesda made the others. However, Obsidian 1/?

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

isn't allowed/contacted by Bethesda to make a part 5 or something, no matter how much fallout fans want it. So, in this meme, 2/3

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

the maker compares Obsidian to some kind of ex the man still has feelings for, with Bethesda, the "current chick" being jealous 3/3

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Great summation! (And that makes me sad.)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I see Bethesda developing into more of an insecure, controlling/manipulative, toxic parent archetype in the relationship with Fallout.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Aaaaaaaaaah Thx!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I still cant figure out why people like Bethesda games tbh.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 7

Oh and if you like darksouls you probably won't like these if you play for the hardcore punishment if you don't know what you're doing.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There fun! I have played through skyrim, fallout4, and fallout nv and had more fun with them than any other games I've played

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

You want a good fantasy RPG you got the elder scrolls series. You want a RPG shooter you got fallout. Bethesda was the shit.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

And if they release a non online GOOD fallout or elder scrolls they will become the shit again.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Im still waiting on the first good one to be released

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Without the bugs what are your thoughts on new vegas

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bethesda didn't make new Vegas

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Theyve used the same engine for 20 years now. And bugs that were in morrowind are still bugs in every game since

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just look at the frostbite if you don't get what I'm saying.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's where you're somewhat wrong

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Games even if they use an outdated engine can still be fixed with updates.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So saying bugs from previous games are still there is not completely true.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Are they going to make another?

8 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 5

Bethesda got the rights to make 3 Fallout games when they got it from whatever company made 1 and 2, so 5 is a real probability.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Black Isle is a whatever company? kids these days...

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yea skyrim but now in 4K

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, they're busy making Pillars of Eternity 2

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So they're wasting their time making a game for one unethical publisher instead of the other. Great.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 6

I really don't care about the publishers, Pillars of Eternity 1 was amazing, and I'm excited for the second

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

To me it doesnt matter how amazing it is, if buying it gives money to a publisher that raises prices during sales to put a higher % discount

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

Oh wow, a standard business practice. You're right, totally ruins a game. Sure, that practice is scummy, but it effects me in no way.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That would've been wonderful, but dont hold your breath

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They should create one set overseas.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

That's a bit like making a movie about the Tudor dynasty set in Peru. Fallout is a caricature of 50's anti-commie 'Murica. Needs 'Murica.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It really only became that when Bethesda took over, in the originals it was a lot more subtle.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I played 1 & 2. It was definitely there too, and not subtle.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

With how Bethesda treated them, who knows, also most of the people who worked on new Vegas don't work at obsidian anymore.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Or at least the ones who worked on the original fallouts.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're still there. Thery are doing isometric RPGs, Pillars of Eternity and some other one, can't remember name

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I know for sure that Chris avellone left, and he's pretty much the brain behind every fallout story and lore.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Tyranny! As another legendary game states: "It's good to be bad."

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

The team that did NV is supposedly working on one that takes place in the Deep South.

8 years ago | Likes 65 Dislikes 7

I thought I read New Orleans specifically

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hope you're right.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm hoping they will work on one where the West factions meet the East factions around the great divide.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

As a southerner, Hell fucking yes.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would die if this was true.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

http://www.gamezone.com/news/no-obsidian-is-not-making-a-fallout-new-vegas-sequel-3450340 Unfortunately, it's just a rumor. Fuck.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Hey, Fallout 4 being in Boston was just a rumor for awhile before it was announced. It could still happen.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sauce now

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I want one set in Australia. Think of all the things that want to kill you that already live there! It would be awesome

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Eh. Would be nogunz. Who wants that?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I remember when New Vegas came out, and people bitched because it wasn't enough like Fallout 3, and wished Bethesda made it. Funny.

8 years ago | Likes 686 Dislikes 20

People still get that way about it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

New Vegas sucked total cock on ps3.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah... The PS3 just did NOT like that engine they used for some reason, Skyrim had similar issues and was basically just unplayable.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There wasn't a lot of that from what I saw. However, credit where credit is due. 3 had more varied terrain, and more well placed combat,

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

...Even if 3 kinda controlled like crap.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I just bitched because the music selection was shit. FUCK Johnny Guitar.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 9

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Have some Skyrim. One can never have enough Skyrim. Better get used to it, you're gonna get Skyrim until 2250...

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

i still hold that opinion, because as good as the writing is in new vegas is, i cant tell its better and im not going pretend i can tell.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't remember that at all. I had only heard that New Vegas was good.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was one of those people. I think it was because there were a lot of mechanical problems that got in the way of a truly amazing 1/?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

experience. Fact of the matter is, the game just wasn't finished, and a lot of Fallout 3 fans noticed this. I don't think they 2/?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

knew what was happening behind the scenes, but the game was literally cut in development time. That left a lot of the new mechanics very 3/?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

slipshod and janky, like the disguise system for example. Not to mention a metric fuck ton of glitches. But later down the line, many 4/?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

people I knew, myself included, reflected on New Vegas a lot more because it was so much deeper on a philosophical level. The story was 5/?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I thought it was too much like Fallout 3, it looked exactly the same but in a different setting.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yea if felt like a modded version of F3! Except with more in depth story though I still like both of the stories just wish there was a way..

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

To really join the enclave in fallout 3

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Okay. Bethesda, Obsidian, F3, F4, FNV and stuff. Maybe because I am 27 now and Fallout 2 was *my childhood game*, yet any of those got me...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Always preferred New Vegas over FO3. Couldn't really get into it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm still like that. No offense to Obsidian, but I just can't get into the extra mechanics of NV. I don't even know why.

8 years ago | Likes 78 Dislikes 66

How dare you interfere with the circle jerk! You monster!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

At least they don't patch it to death

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not gonna downvote you -- but I thought about it. And I'd bang your mom while listening to my spurs jingle jangle jiiiingle....

8 years ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 6

Jingle jangle

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

Wait, what extra mechanics? I don't remember the gameplay being significantly different than fo3 other than being able to add more to guns

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mods to guns*

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I remember there being different ammo & armor types and I hated juggling them. Among other things.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

With over 150 hours in the game I couldn't tell you what the different ammo did other than the ones that said more damage.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I didn't even know there were different armor types. I only ever got whatever armor looked coolest.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can go the entire game with only default ammo. I didnt touch a couple crafting bench for my first few play throughs.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I never really touched the crafting benches. They're almost never worth it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Honestly i still like F3 better than NV. Just for story, though.

8 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 33

I can't remember a thing that I like more in 3 than NV.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Are you trying to trigger me? 'Cause I'm taking the bait and swallowing it whole. I'm about to scream.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I'm sorry random internet person

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's alright. I feel better now.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

...and Location, characters, exploration and overall feel.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 7

the story in F3 is shite how can you like it?

8 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 61

Maybe some people simply enjoy entertainment instead of nitpicking like an entitled cuck.

8 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 46

I'm sorry I insulted your game didn't know I was a cuck

8 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 15

New Vegas was my first step into Fallout. Unfortunately, every other step has felt like going down a stair case. Such a great game and DLCs.

8 years ago | Likes 190 Dislikes 11

New Vegas was my first Fallout game too. Now it's the only one I find worth playing.

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 4

Same. I'm still wishing for a nuclear winter.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Did you experience the "Doc spinning head" bug? That was terrifying.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

NV was my second. I loved F3 and it became my life. NV was like a chore to me. Never got to finish it. Hadn't finished F4 either.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 5

What didn't you like about NV?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Everything was "meh" until my I accidentally shot an NCR guy and only decent save was right before the companions attacked too.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

After I got that sorted out, I think I just progressed to fast. Just didn't feel right. One day I'll go back and start over.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I showed up on the Strip in Brotherhood power armor. It took a while to figure out how to unwind that one. Still love it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fallout 3, explored the originals, fell in love with NV when it got out, FO4.... just leaves a hole

8 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 1

v

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

idk enjoyed fo4 in a different way plot was meh but the combat was enjoyable moreso than 3 and nv imo def not as good as nv but still nice

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

Agreed but fallout has such amazing potential for story and it's wasted on Bethesda

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

As I explain it to people - it's a fantastic shooter, it's a fucking TERRIBLE Fallout title.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Install the Horizon mod and it's even a good survival game. Story is still painfully bad. Setting would be alright if it wasn't "Fallout".

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As an avid Fallout fan, we need to let go. FO4 is like keeping a 20 y. old, paralyzed dog alive on dialysis because we're sentimental.

8 years ago | Likes 353 Dislikes 67

You can always play Wasteland 2 instead (or Wasteland 3 in a couple years).

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yea... And it is already more than a bit like fallout 3 with a fuckload of plastic surgery at this point

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like large parts of Fo4 with extensive modding

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm glad someone said it like this. Stop trying to make FO4 happen. It sucked and that's just all there is to it.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That was specific

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lol I liked Fo4 a lot. But I mean. It was just minecraft.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 13

How is it like mineshit?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

Cause it's a resource slog to build cool buildings until you start to mod it till it crashes and sometimes you kill stuff

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

You sound more like a "It was better in my day" sort of guy.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

lol, maybe so! I wasn't around for FO1,2,tactics. Was for 3 and NV. I still think 1>NV,2>4>3.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was. The earlier games had a LOT of good points, don't get me wrong, but we can't gloss over the problems of the early ones, but not the C

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

later ones. Hell, in Fallout 1 you could be trapped, forever, by NPC pathing, since the Push command didn't show up till 2. I never liked

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

the rather limited (compared to everything else) options you had with the runners, and 2 had plenty of cut content that left dangling

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah i played it for a few hours and finally said fuck it

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

So you're saying you need to find your paralyzed dog in FO5?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

How soon till I can pre order and get the exclusive Black Fatman.... That sounded less racist in my head...

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That kind of name will get you bad flack, man.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*Flack Batman... haha, it's funny because it has "flack" and it's promotional

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4 isn't as good as New Vegas, but I still like it more than 3.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I know people are upset about the roleplaying, but the world-building and atmosphere in Fallout 4 were top notch.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 5

It's great but it feels more like "Sims: Nuclear Apocalypse Edition" than a Fallout game.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

The problem with FO4 was people followed the hype train too hard to the point anything would have disappointed. I still love it though.

8 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 8

There just wasn't enough content ..I also hated how there weren't many guilds like skyrim

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

I had only played 10 minutes of FoNV before 4. Went back after finishing 4. NewVegas without any doubt, is much better both story & gameplay

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The problem is people like you can't read, because there's been a fuckloads of valid criticism concerning lack of ANY good narrative in F4

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

making it about as deep and compelling as Transformers movie. Pretty pictures, spectacle, nothing else. Oh and obvious plot twist.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

hype aside, the story and roleplaying elements are seriously lacking for a FO game.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I knew it was going to be a standard Bethesda mess from the start. And I got exactly what I expected.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Just started playing it. First Fallout I have played. I like it.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

ditto

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Gotta play with mods, best way to play. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Yeah, you're gonna like it because it's the first one you've played. The story and writing is abysmal compared to Interplay's games.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

FO4 is awesome. Power armor revamp was a wonderful idea, and settlement building. Settlement building!

8 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 7

General!...about those settlements, you know...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah but it's all but broken without mods

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I dunno, i had plenty of fun with it before mods. It's like most of their games, the standard is pretty great, mods make them awesome.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Like literally every other fallout game?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I was referring specifically to settlement building, but you certainly have a point.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What did settlement building do, other than be a playtime padding function that distracted from the actual gameplay?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Its hella fun? I have 1400 hours in Fo4. I've never completed the game. I have downloaded every remotely-functional settlement mod.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

You wanna know what pads my playtime? The fucking quests I have to do while I wait for Trashcan Carla to get another shipment of Crystal.

I don't know about you, but when something is in the game and interacts with the rest of the game, I think it counts as actual gameplay too.

I liked the redesign of power armor; I just think it's tacky to immediately give the player what usually is an elusive end-game behemoth.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"An elusive end-game behemoth"? Did you even play the original games? It was piss easy to obtain. And NV required that stupid perk still.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Dunno about Tactics, but FO1-2, NV & 3 all made it pretty inaccessible for newer players. Later iterations required training as well.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Well thats just not true. Fo3 you could grab power armor from brotherhood outcasts literally the moment you left the vault.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

1/3 T-45 is hardly endgame, and there's value to introducing the player to a core mechanic in what is essentially the tutorial.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2/3 Its also fucking awesome to mow down a death claw in power armor an hour into a new game. Gets you hooked fast.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I get why they shoehorned in the power armor, it just makes me sad. Feels cheap compared to the other series' versions.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

3/3 That said, they could/should have found a way to take the power armor out of commission for the next few hours. Maybe blow up the core?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Power armor revamp was a good idea. I just wish the helmet had more of a helmet look in first person. Like the project Nevada mod for 1/?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

New Vegas. Settlement building was nice but enemies spawning inside your base when you fast travel during an attack is a big issue. As 2/?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

build walls. enemies spawn behind said walls. uhm, ok then.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Its an issue, but you can move the spawn points with mods.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well as the fact that it doesn't matter how much defenses you have after a certain point. If you don't go to your settlement that's 3/?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Under attack then the people usually die.4/4

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thats annoying, but totally moddable.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fallout 1 was one of the best games I've ever played.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 5

That's pure nostalgia talking man. It's one of the most clunky top down RPGs I've ever played

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

....I played it for the first time last year.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

And you enjoy it? I played it back in like 2000, it was and still is a clunky mess.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

I like fallout 4 though. I think we're spoiled because it isn't a standard Fallout game but it was a good game overall

8 years ago | Likes 232 Dislikes 29

Good gameplay and terrible writing. Was enjoyable but I didn't feel it was a good game

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It was a good shooter with an awful RPG tacked onto it for no reason.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I appreciate the fact that they announced it and released it the same year. It was a huge surprise. I got it instead of Battlefront.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The dialogue, characters and main story were all very ho-hum. They put too much effort into settlements. Good game other than that.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

fallout 4 did two things very right, Combat and graphics, everything FNV did better

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Everything else FNV did better*

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Agreed. I play it like an fps survival and not an rpg.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

"spoiled"? Play Wither 3 then talk about being fucking spoiled. F4 had no voice acting, no writing, was buggy as fuck and cost fuckloads.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

The writing in witches 3 was excellent... but the combat felt more samey to me than dynasty warriors

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just like in F4, which has famously boring gun handling. So it's equal on combat and totally not equal in most other aspects.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good game, bad fallout

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

A "standard" Fallout game is still an isometric point and click turn based strategy RPG. While I LOVE the new Fallouts I wouldnt mind those.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

I didn't enjoy playing it. That doesn't make me spoiled.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 15

Why though? Other than the dialogue options nothing was really that bad. The perk system wasn't the greatest but combat was sooo much better

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That doesn't make it a bad game either. It makes it a game you don't like.

FO4 was a better fallout game than skyrim was an elder scrolls game

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

See I disagree. Now FO and ES run a different track. ES being a open vast wasteland is part of the game. FO being a open wasteland...

Do you want to say yes, yes, sarcastic yes, or no until you say yes

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

1] Yes 2] Yes, but pay me {SPEECH} 3] Yes (sarcastic) 4] Shaun?

http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1235 is an improvement but not really a big one.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a decent game, just a bad fallout one. It'd be better if they just made it into it's own IP.

Meaning, a non-Fallout game.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I went into it with the hype of a new post apocalyptic game rather than a new Fallout game. Was very delighted with it. 270 hours so far.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Bethesda is making Starfield. Sci-fi rogue so that could be it

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If it released in a near playable state I could agree

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

It did on console. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Arguable. It has savegame size issue where if the save gets too long it starts to freeze randomly. PS4/XB1 both.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think that's fair to say but the Fallout brand gave it it's charms New Vegas is personally my favorite but I thought they did fine with it

8 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 2

Nv just had way more content.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Exactly, 4 had 2 Big DLCs and 2 DLCs that should have been in the game, and 1 lie (Vault tec workshop) automatron was fun, but NV had (1)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

New Vegas is my favorite of the 3D Fallout games; too bad we won't see more like games from that studio.

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

I would love a remaster of it with more music and sprinting plus fallout 4 VATS I think that's all it needs
