Now see cruise control seems like pause to me because it keeps a car in a certain state. It definitely doesn't switch anything forward.

I think the brake would be pause and E-brake would be stop, Cruise control keeps going forward skipping to where the drive takes control

I'd say get an intake over a BOV. Most BOVs are for high power, the stock stuff is fine up to about 350.
