They say that, but mine did. Now there's the toenail and the thin second toenail next to/under it. Luckily it hasn't caused me real problems

Main factor is trimming nails too shortly, and/or wearing very tight shoes or socks.

I got them because of a couple reasons 1. Shoes were too small 2. I cut them wrong 3. I'm an idiot

Clipping the far edges too far back. Supposed to cut the big toe nail straight across, no curve. Correct me if I'm wrong.
