Only in a world this shitty could you ever say this was normal.

Anonymous should be doxxing all those idiots.

After they dox all of ICE and all the perps in the unredacted E-PDF files.

1 month ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

To be fair, it was her community of fox/animal rescuers that used Reddit to bully her into suicide, and post about it. And of course they were the Reddit mods so they allowed it and the company once again looked the other way.

1 month ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

sorry but framing it like this completely takes away responsibility from the platform reddit, this is not how it works.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Been in rescue for 16yrs. It is filled with petty, immature, middle aged women who act like they are still in high school.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I feel like I'm missing context like what where the bullies saying and why, and what did she really do?

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

what did she do? did she rescue foxes wrong, it`s her fault she was bullied? what did she do? do you know? did she commit a crime? what crime? you know whats a crime? leading people to suicide.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yes of course but you know I'm Just wondering what these bullies thought was so wrong about rescuing foxes or you know..what would drive them to be so vile towards someone. You don't have to get all passive aggressive. There's always two sides to every story.. and I want to know the whole story... If a judge just went around believing every victim there would be a shitload of unjust imprisonments. I just want the whole picture and be able to come to my own conclusions is that so wrong?

There is a funny video from ProZD about how it is liking things on the internet.

However, this is not funny. It is a shame that we lost a light in this world to shit bags who offered nothing.

This is part of why social media, beyond Imgur (and even that has its limits), rarely interests me. I am out of the loop on things, but it seems more of privilege than a burden. I almost ended up down the rabbit hole that leads to one becoming the type of person to treat someone so terribly. I can't say with certainty what prevented it, but I am glad for it.

Reddit has a site wide no-witchhunt policy that this kind of sub would seem to violate

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Mikayla was awesome. RIP. Also, if you are one of those participating in this kind of bullshit: FUCK YOU, in new and hitherto unimagined ways. There are no words to describe what kind of low-life shitstain you are. Go and do something good with your life, instead of attacking those who do.

1 month ago | Likes 198 Dislikes 4

Reddit can be an amazing place if you limit where you go, but even then, the pedos and pieces of shit can flock anywhere. Recently the admins had to shut down the gaming sub Pragmata for the upcoming game because everyone there was sexualizing the 8 year old robot character (she looks just like a human child but they argued because "she's a robot so it's fine".

1 month ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Maybe she's fine because she doesn't have feelings, but you aren't fine if you're into that shit

The owners of reddit support the trump regime and ice agenda. delete your accounts.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

These snark pages are getting way out of hand and are super detrimental to society. Reddit takes some down but they keep popping up. The internet kinda sucks

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Such a click bait title. She wasn't criticized for saving foxes, she was criticized for alleged abuse of animals and volunteers. Her followers then alleged that it were rivals trying to take her down.

1 month ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 9

where is the lie in the title? Should reddit allow users to conduct smear campaign and cyberbullying? what is your point? the zip code of the people doing this is more relevant than the platform that allowed it?

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

The lie in the title is that she was bullies for saving foxes. She wasn't bullied for that.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 6

Unconfirmed but I saw somewhere that the snark subreddit was made by a competitor. Basically money was involved in this. I don't have proof nor do I recall where I saw it.

1 month ago | Likes 64 Dislikes 4

"I saw somewhere, my cousin told me"

1 month ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 25

Shut your dumb ass up.

1 month ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 5

I also remember this, it was another rescue place that disagreed with how she cared for them from what I remember.

1 month ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Why would an animal rescue have competitors? Like someone’s trying to make a profit rescuing animals? If it’s the US and they could subpoena Reddit to get identities and show harassment was coming from a different rescue, they might be able to have a successful civil wrongful death suit.

1 month ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

I've worked for a horse rescue for over ten years and yes, rescues are constantly trying to tear each other down because they think other rescues aren't good enough or are being neglectful, and want to paint themselves as the "real" rescue who knows what they're doing. Rescues rely heavily on charity and donations which is tied directly to their reputation. Having a bad reputation, whether legit or not, means the money you would have received goes to other rescues instead.

1 month ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

society is constructed to make us think we are always in competition with each other instead of being in community with each other

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because some people are shitty and capitalism brings out the worst in those people.

1 month ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

many accounts use the animals as a draw to monetize themselves.

1 month ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

There was a whole multi season documentary about tiger “rescues” and their interconnected drama and attacks on each other.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

To be fair it was mainly about one attacking another

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I see people have learned absolutely fuck all from situations like Hana Kimura. I don't know Mikayla and I've honestly never heard her name (or what she did) until today, but my heart goes out to her husband and family. Fuck every single person responsible for this.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And I just noticed this is from 2025. Fuck. I would 100% have signed that petition.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Everyone that was involved with this needs to be charged with murder, or at the very least man-slaughter, and spend the rest of their life in prison.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Wow this is shocking. I've seen her videos and they were always fun. I now see in January Finnigan had to be euthanized due to health issues. This all around sucks.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fuck people. Anyone who is part of bullying that leads to suicide need to have some kind of punishment. The only way to create any kind of fear of bullying is too actually punish those. Like it or not, you are a large reason for the death, you should have legal ramifications for it. No matter your age.

Which is worse cesspool, reddit or 4chan?

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

that`s easy, 4chan.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

This story is so sad. Something the wife and I are doing is teaching our kids (under 6yo) that nothing they see online is real. Hopefully this will help with future episodes and reactions to online "discussions" and social interactions. Feelings are real, but the internet is not. But also to help them be confident in themselves and to think critically. To be proud of their works themselves, so they aren't looking for outward validation. With those tools maybe that will be enough?

1 month ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

Idk if I’d go so far as to say nothing they see online is real. I think it’s important for them to wonder if everything they are told is completely true and consider the source of information and its standards for reliability. Then again, that’s not something I can really teach a little kid but more like a teenager

1 month ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Thank you all. Yes, these are all good points. For little kids it's easier to explain. We hope when they get more cognitive ability, that can translate into more nuanced discernment about what they are seeing online. I'm not sure anyone has it completely figured out yet; the impact of social media and constant communication on our minds, especially our kids, but for now, we're doing what we can to safeguard against blind acceptance.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Critical thinking skills seem more important, maybe instead of "nothing is real" try "question everything".

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

“Question everything” can be tricky with young kids. If you yell “Stop!” in a parking lot because a car is backing up, and they ask “Why?” but keep going, that can be dangerous. They don’t see what you see. Curiosity & critical thinking matter, but in emergencies or group settings, they sometimes need to follow first & ask later. Especially under 6, they’re still developing judgment & impulse control. Curiosity is a strength, & so is trust and knowing when to use it. We’re doing the best we can.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Mm, I'd be careful with the "Nothing they see online is real" thing, cause that type of thought process actually causes a lot of toxicity on the internet because people don't see other people on the internet as being real.

1 month ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Thank you for the reply. See my reply to meganical. As little kids, I don't think we're at the toxicity stage of interaction, or the othering of people online. It's more the marketing, unrealistic game play, and lifestyles they are seeing these other Youtube kids have. Not everyone gets a massive balloon party and pirate boat ride and disney character actors performing for their 8th birthday party.

Reminds me of that cringey break dancer from Australia. By all means, let's run some jokes about it (stand up comedy, etc). But some sociopaths actually looked up her email address and communicated violent messages to her personally -- like what the fuck??

nah, the assholes stick out.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How can people do that to someone that makes content like this? Is there a Mr. Rogers snark subreddit? JFC.

1 month ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Mr Rogers is a bad, evil, woke person according to Fox's crispy raisin Kilmeade and, by extension of laughing and agreeing, the rest of the reichsministerium that was present during that show. Damaged people apparently hate the well-adjusted and philanthropic.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That was a good one!

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't get it, what's wrong with rescuing fox-es-es?

1 month ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

What the other people are saying in this thread, and also, PETA's animal abuse tactics disguised as "animal welfare" have infected far too many people. I live a few miles from their HQ. It's really awful the kinds of animal-harming things people around here will say or do, while thinking they're defending animal rights and welfare. All because they've been witnessing PETA putting this crap out there non-stop for decades and internalize it without realizing, even if externally they despise PETA.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm not sure I'm following. What animal abuse tactics are you referring to?

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

PETA stealing pets and euthanizing them illegally, for one. Linked below is just the most famous case of many. I used to work for a Norfolk veterinarian, and we repeatedly had people coming in our office from PETA trying to sneak into our kennels and steal pets we were boarding or treating. The police never wanted to take on PETA because they brought in too much money, and it's well-known they bribe local gov't. (Con't)

https://time.com/4127919/virginia-family-dog-euthanized-peta/

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Our vet gave big discounts to animal rescue people to bring in their rescues for us to treat. But she wouldn't give PETA the discount because they kept bringing in animals that showed the exact same signs of neglect and abuse that come from being confined in the same too-small space with other animals. Pretty much every animal had ringworm, kennel cough, and the same types of physical injuries that come from being pressed into small spaces and against cage bars. (Con't)

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Too consistent for them all to have "come to us that way" as PETA kept insisting. So because of the lies and the attempted thefts from our office (of pet supplies as well as pets themselves, I've been reminded) my vet banned PETA from the office. So PETA would try to send in anonymous PETA employees with pets they claimed they'd "rescued independently" to try and trick us into giving them the rescuer discount. But the consistent illnesses and injuries always gave them away. (Con't)

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nothing at all. By all accounts she was doing a fine job but there were people that hated her for some reason (whether money or just the usual internet bullshit) that would dissect and criticize every single thing she posted and accuse her of abusing or exploiting the animals.

1 month ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 1

The reason is she was a woman doing things on the Internet. You don't need to do or be anything beyond that, that already gives huge swaths of the internet a bizarre gripe with you.

1 month ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

Thats pretty fucked up. I will say that if there was a reddit sub dedicated to trashing me I probably wouldn't go there anymore.

1 month ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

it's a form of digital self-harm, and it happens to a lot of people. if you *know* there is a place you can go where people are saying shitty things about you, it is actually very hard to resist looking at it. it's like picking a scab. after a while, you start to internalize it, too, like you start to think everyone else is lying about you to be nice, while these people are the only ones who are brave enough to tell the truth. it's a vicious cycle.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I'm pretty sure they just coordinated their bullying on the sub but executed most of it on her posts/videos.

1 month ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

That makes more sense. Thanks.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

it's because using rescued wildlife to get yourself attention is a thing on the internet, and many accounts are known to be animal abusers. She's one of the biggest accounts out there, and one of the earliest in the space, so no doubt she caught a lot of the same accusations.

It boggles the mind the heinous things people are willing to do when they are convinced they are on the side of justice.

1 month ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 3

But themselves calling it snark in the title of the sub admits its not that, no? I'm having trouble understanding this as a normal person who doesnt start shit for no reason

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

it's not what? Snark subreddits exist to talk shit on all sorts of people, justified or otherwise.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, have you taken a look around this place?

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I try not to, for my sanity

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1 month ago | Likes 69 Dislikes 2

Yes. Even just being a woman on here with an opinion and your inbox open results in an incredible amount of dedicated hate trolls.

It’s always interesting to see men realize how much effort is put into any viable woman of course a high visibility one that killed herself would have even more than normal.

1 month ago | Likes 66 Dislikes 0

Visible not viable

1 month ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

As a man, it both fascinates and confuses me how many of these trolls there must be. I've met one guy in my life that I know for sure could have been one of them. I'm 54 years old. Who are all these dumb motherfuckers? Even most of the MAGAts I know wouldn't do shit like this. Probably. Maybe?

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

This is in no way questioning the existence of those men. It's just so weird that I could swear to only having met one of them.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I think that there is a chance that some men act differently around other men in real life than they do on the internet when messaging a woman they don’t know.

1 month ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Oh absolutely. I've worked with lots of guys who were good dads but talked sexist shit at work when we were out in the field or whatever, but then again really proper and polite around the admin ladies or whatever.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

A close family member of mine has an alternate twitter profile where he shares all his secret racist MAGA opinions. None of us ever would've guessed he was like that, or that he had also been cheating on his wife, if a friend hadn't accidentally stumbled upon screenshots of it in a FB group aptly called "Are We Dating the Same Man?" So like, you can't always tell how bad it really is with some of those people

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah it was a horrific realization for us, esp his brother. And of course, in true MAGA fashion, he claims the marriage ended because *she* cheated. But since it was her who showed me the posts her friend found, we know he's lying. He still doesn't know we know.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh. Your. God.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

From personal experience, the average internet troll is a spineless worm if met in real life - and the more vitriolic they are online, the more shrinking they are in real llife. Since the days of Usenet and BBS', I've met some aggressively horrible, misogynistic, or racist people (most from online text games - MUDs, MUSHes, or just IRC) who couldn't even look me in the eye (or sunglasses, because I was full-on goth at the time), much less carry a conversation - and I firmly believe they would

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Fold in on themselves if they had to interact with a real life woman. Someone once said that the internet is not about freedom of speech, it's about freedom from being punched in the mouth.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

There are entire subreddits dedicated to making fun of a particular person?

That said scumsuckers bullied to death.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes like dirty Dave for Dave Ramsey - it's fine for him he is worth 300 million and has an empire of people spouting his takes - not so much bullying as in snark. But this poor woman doing good in the world? My heart goes out to her

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wtf is wrong with reddit? This should not be tolerated.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I mean isn't it okay to have one for Ol Musky?

1 month ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

As long as you're prepared to be called a pedo by old Muck, just like he did to that rescue cave driver when he proved what a dumbass Muck is. Back then, he claimed that it was just a common back taunt and didn't really mean anything by it when he got called out, but with all the Epstein files, we now know why he keeps accusing normal people of being pedo.

I can't agree with "all". I think 10% are deeply and genuinely altruistic and compassionate. Then 80% can be varying levels of crummy, selfish, scared and broken, but they can be better with time, help and good influence. Then... there's 10% that are just vile humans who go out of their way to abuse, subjugate others and drag everyone down to their subhuman level, they actively prey on the 80%, trying to abuse and turn them into inhumane assholes too.

But now it’s too easy for someone to fake a photo of someone holding a piece of paper with ‘roast me’ on it

Reddit is just the socially acceptable 4chan, with a little less anonymity.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Everything from user accounts, to forum threads, to subreddits and private chat servers are essentially online avatars for real people in the real world. They stand, sit, or lie somewhere while pulling that shit, destroying someone's personal life/will to live, and they can be found in those places IRL. They're real people, and you can reach out and touch them just like anyone else.

Yet he didn't commit suicide. Bullying is wrong, but it's also about the individual and how they deal with it. She couldve gotten help, she had a choice.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 23

Shit yourself.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So it was her fault. Gotcha.

1 month ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

No no! Not what I'm saying. She was terrorized and attacked for sure, unfairly and for no reason. But she she had options and had a support system (husband) that seems like could have changed the outcome.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

Yyyeeeah, you're clearly not grasping how deep this kind of bullying hurts. This isn't bullying because her acting wasn't great. She was bullied for her desire to save animals. That kind of bullying attacks your morals and values, the very things that make you who you are. And it came from all directions. Even with a great support system, it's virtually impossible not to question if maybe that constant stream of negativity has some justification.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s not that you’re wrong per se, but holy misplaced priorities Batman.

Someone got bullied into suicide by people who only knew that she was (1) doing a good deed, although god knows how it was framed, and (2) other people were doing it, so…

People suck.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes people suck, my point; her support system (i.e. husband) kinda failed her if she had options. It's not one sided sometimes and maybe she was already going through some stuff before this. Yes she was treated horribly, but lots of people are daily and they make it.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Seeing as how we’re all carbon copies of you thy went wrong somewhere, I guess I can see your point.

Oh, wait. I can see your point. It’s not wrong. It’s just…suspicious.
