I can’t even see her toes past her hyper extended alien knees

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That knee hyperextension though...

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yeah I know, its art... But it's crazy sick how it destroys the feet.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That looks horiffically painful

We did similar exercises in Karate training.

That's why ballerina feet look the way they do. Bit still respect for dealing with that. Id cry like a baby.

Yep. Ballerina feet look like welder hands. Broken, scarred, callused, and frighteningly strong.

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure my arms aren't as strong as those toes...

Ouch!

Speaking from experience, don't get kicked by a ballerina. Its like a goddamned shaped charge.

I got a footcramp just watching this

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH NONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONO

Yuck. My sister used to walk on her toes like that until she was 6 or 7. Said it didn't hurt at all - she could run and stuff. Freak.

Cubed-square law; smaller things have preportionaly less load::structural integrity ratios.

Ballerinas have awful feet, fact, it's not natural what they have to endure

I've always wished I stuck with Ballet. Stupid horrible teacher.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I would assume it's like Thai fighters and shins. Just doesn't hurt as much. Non the less ouch!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Oh no. No no. I do taekwondo and do the strengthening on my arms and shins. Still hurts like fuck, just doesn't break.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

this kills the ballerina

Ex-ballerina here. Four foot/ankle surgeries later, I still miss it.

Ballerinas are so hot but this is some straight up freak show shit

Aouch, ... and to my 7-year old taking a giggle at ballet: walk a mile in these shoes, then we'll talk again

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

This is simple comment, yet speaks absolute volumes.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

video is straight up on point

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Don't Google ballerina feet.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

So the shoes are there entirely just so we don't get freaked out

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

The shoes have semi-rigid support structures in them to aid in doing this and protect the dancer... somewhat.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

More so we don't break our ankles and toes. Most dancers would never go en pointe without pointe shoes.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

A lot of dancers also use padding via lambs' wool or silicone cups.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The shoes are there to support the feet! They’re very important!

As someone with a foot fetish, I approve this post.

$oreal

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I have a foot fetish, but this made me weep because it will ruin the toes.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is true. But it's not my toes so I let them hurt themselves. Silly peoples.
