8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love you and want to have your babies

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

... Correct.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh hey, I've got one of those from when I was in JROTC: /a/3et6G

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fucking campers

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Not so secret anymore, eeeh?

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

When I was in the army, I did counter sniper detail for Obama when he was still a senator. He was campaigning in Iraq. All I got was a hat.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

kind of ironic that the image is out of focus

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

These we discontinued right after JFK...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

HHAAAAaaaaaa.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Jesus that's got to be a hard to find challenge coin. I have a few, but since I don't drink any more, I never carry any of them anywhere.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

but mine are all relatively easy to obtain, not like this

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Never doing a coin check around you lol.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But if you look down the scope long enough, the counter will become the Sniper. Then what, suicide?

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Sniper nooooo sniping

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He who snipes snipers, runs the risk of becoming a sniper himself. If you gaze into the scope, the scope gazes back

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

That's a mirror

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Neat looking fidget spinner.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Is not a secret anymore

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Im interested in the backstory. Ive got all day OP

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I dont. So.. ● watch that for me would ya?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sure amigo/amiga

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The military offices/groups all have one and you give them out in gratitude and stuff.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ahhhhh, thank you for some insight

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Really they should only be handed to individuals who have performed some task above expectation or to a very high degree.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cool

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I didn't know how big challenge coins were until I started working in DC. My agency loves them.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

can you explain a challenge coin?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sometimes people in the military will make their own collectable coin and hand them out to people they meet and appreciate. It's a tradition

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

E-penis

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lol idk what youre supposed to do with them tho

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Whip it out at the bar to impress people

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have two of the same coin lol

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hey, some people have two. It's unusual, but not without precedent. Both work just as well alone, but both at once blows someone's mind.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is it just the picture or is your scope of center?

8 years ago | Likes 59 Dislikes 2

It annoying as fuck!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Off*

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

Scope shadow?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Actually it looks like the coin has a clear center where the crosshairs are, so it is actual scope shadow!

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

It does. It is centered in person, I was just holding it a bit wonky so that it would contrast.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's done on purpose to compensate for the Coriollis effect

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 3

No it's not. It's because the coin has a clear window, it's like a 3D effect. Coriolis is just up and down not left to right.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

It's left or right depending on north or south hemisphere.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I thought left and right comes into play as the rotation of the Earth moves the target away when the bullet travels over a long distance.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or I might be wrong. Someone with more experience can confirm maybe?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You are right. It effects left or right depending on the hemisphere you are in

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

fight snipers WITH snipers

8 years ago | Likes 143 Dislikes 0

Well.... yeah.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

thats what counter-sniping is

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or Dva

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

ending is near!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That is in fact, what you do.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But when you peer too long into the scope, the scope peers into you

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

scopeception

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Noobs. Clearly the right way to fight snipers is to send in someone wiht a knife from behind. Have they never played CS?

8 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 0

sniper duel maps were awesome

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm installing now.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Who counters the counter snipers?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I can't counter that high

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Counter? I barely met 'er!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

the only other things that can is massed artillery and panzers.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Oh a beehive round in their general direction will usually do it. Or air support with Combined Effects Munitions (a kind of cluster bomb).

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or just 1,000 infantrymen running towards the snipers direction

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well if your a WWII Russian general or a Chinese general this would work.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or Ulysses S. Grant or Sherman

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Or beehive artillery

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Oh bee-hive!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

v

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hah, great minds think alike. Did not see your comment before leaving mine.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I remember seeing an image set of the 46cm Yamato Beehive rounds for AA usage. impressive, even if they weren't really used in combat.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Challenge coin? Someone at work gave my son one They are cool as shit

8 years ago | Likes 296 Dislikes 0

I got my first one two weeks ago! :D

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

RMO?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do you think you could shoot through that hole from 1000 meters

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a challenge coin from the Sec of the Navy.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Pics?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What did he do especially well for the person handing it out?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One of my engineering mentors was an AF Raven got one from a SEAL because he captured and detained the sneaky SoB during an exercise.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The exercise was defending a C5 Galaxy on the ground from an unknown aggressor. They were not told SEALs would be the enemy.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Are those like the "achievement unlocked" badges but in real life? How is it verified that you pulled it off?

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Its a combination of that and "i'm cooler then you you should buy me a beer and ask about it" as far as i understand the system .

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

As for how is it verified, its basically brocode AFAIK, you are expected not to bullshit people who can break you in half with their hands

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Or you exchange/trade them. I was given/awarded 4 and I was lucky enough to trade a few others.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Usually the unit they belong to (in this case the CST) will very occasionally give them out to people they feel have earned them somehow.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

As an example, my uncle is a chaplain and has received some from various departments he was worked with during crises.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Think like you've accomplished something, but it's not quite worthy of an award.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I have a pretty good amount of them. They're great when the unit making them puts effort into them.

8 years ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 0

I have one that doubles as a bottle opener. It's pretty sweet.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I've got one that is a mini apache tail prop. Pretty cool.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I only have one, it was my battalion's coin. Silver leaf and SgtMjr, 1stMarDiv. I got presented with it when I got out of the hospital.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You get beat up for saying that in the military.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 58

Pulled mine out as half a joke at the VFW, once.. I got some free beers...

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

No....no you don't. If you got beat up, they just didn't like you.

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

They are cool, but the whole challenge itself is stupid

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

Except all the people that have their coins displayed on their desk. So have fun beating up every NCOIC in the Army.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Exactly!!!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

why?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

theres an old wives tale that if you go to a bar and tell people to pull them out the person with the rarest/highest ranking gets drinks 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

from everyone else for the rest of the night. You pull this shit at a military bar and you'll get stared at like your an idiot. 2/2

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It’s true! In my regiment the Senior enlisted would bash us young ones when we first entered. I carry my 75th coin just Incase. Lol

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Unless: they are a vet from WW2 or Vietnam. Ive met some pows that have done this to give their coins out and we always bought them drinks.
