It’s great you can do this. Mine would run away but we are planning on lead training her so we shall see

I love that we now take mini murder machines camping for our personal enjoyment. I fricking love my cats.

If anyone does this, please put a GPS collar on your cat, there is a -very- high chance they will get lost. It will also stress some cats out

Please don't do this. Your house cat isn't even close to an apex predator, and everything from weasels and fishers to birds will eat them.

Is that concrete that you're pitched your tents on? Are— Are you actually homeless?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I think It's a camp ground. Probably illegal to camp wherever.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A lot of camping areas have concrete slabs to put your tent on so you don't have to find a flat spot or use a tarp on the ground. Then a

Bears climb too, bro

Hes got a badass tent of course not

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I only ever owned 1 cat i would trust not to bolt off to play... and get lost. And I wouldn't risk him getting eaten.

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Mine follows me when he's in a place he doesn't recognize, but if he saw another cat he'd chase them and try to fight them and get lost

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I had a cat that traveled in RV with and it got loose so many times i gave up trying and let it run free at rest stops and sites.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Mine wouldn't get far, but that's because he has asthma so he also wouldn't be outdoors like that. The other 1 would go to anyone with food.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I took mine camping and he ran around some but always came back to check in and eat and sleep. Cats are pretty smart.

5 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

My 2 cats defiantly wouldn't, they follow me if they aren't in their territory. They also always come when I call and lower my hand to 2ft

5 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

Are you sure they aren’t small dogs?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm confident mine wouldn't intentionally run off, but their curiosity would definitely get to them. Worried I'd lose them if I did this.

5 years ago | Likes 94 Dislikes 0

Yeah mine is strictly indoor only

5 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

Mine don't know their names. At least they don't try to get out. Walking around going "WHERE'S MY BOY" and meowing for them would be weird..

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

The risk is they get a smell that they 'recognise' which isn't actually the same smell, then use it to 'navigate home'. (so very lost)
