Asking the real questions .

There was an old anime I watched can't remember the name. But they killed a mermaid and ate it.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank you! This is the kind of content I come to imgur for!

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

What version of mermaid are we talking about?

They're all pink on the inside

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

of all the responses, this was funny

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Prob like a tuna. Fishy yet still meaty

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Asking the important questions

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think the entire thing tastes like tuna

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have similar questions about minotaurs and centaurs.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

well. Chicken that eats fish have a distinct fishy taste, same with their eggs. So it would taste like what they eat mainly.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The texture of the human part would most likely be pork. So imagine pork with a distinct fishy taste.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’d say it would follow the visual, so red meat up to about the waist, fish below. I think it would blend at waist but a quick transition.

6 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

Tuna is red :p

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A bit of a cartilage disk as a mild separation bumper. Meat still a bit red, like those big tuna.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

this is the best answer

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

WHERE WOULD YOU COME UP WITH THIS?!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nah, would probably taste like whale or seal.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I asked this a coworker, he said he wont answer my questions anymore in the future

6 years ago | Likes 213 Dislikes 1

Ah, Milena Veinrub

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Close enough...

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They eat sailors. It's only fair. Payback is a bitch.

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I saw this a couple nights ago and it has haunted my thoughts since.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It tastes like long pork, same as you.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There are no more mermaids. Surf and turf didn't come from no where.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It probably tastes like vagina.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My theory is it's a homogeneous taste throughout with the consistency and flavor of alligator...no I don't have a source...

6 years ago | Likes 621 Dislikes 2

It would smell like pussy

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

That's what I was thinking too, because to me alligator has the taste and texture of an even blend of fish and chicken.

6 years ago | Likes 66 Dislikes 0

This is a good theory

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sauce though?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a source. DM for details.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That's what I was thinking taste like chicken has the texture of fish

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dude. It’s your theory. You are THE SAUCE

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Alligator tastes like reptile, not fish or well, I've never had primate, but it doesn't taste like chicken, pig, or cow.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't know. I think it's more like a fillet of fish joined to pork with a layer of silver-skin.

6 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

I like the silver skin idea!

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Source, I would try tartar source.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So it would taste like water chicken. That's about what I always taste with gator without a ton of spices.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Leaves more questions, Farm raised like tuna or like Wagyu beef?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm oddly curious! My adventuring part of me wish to try!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is it a mammal or fish?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Welp, now I know what’ll have me staring at my bedroom ceiling in wide-eyed, abject horror tonight.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Good lord no.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Damn.. I really thought it would..It’s almost certainly all red meat. Question answered. You can fall asleep in peace friend :)

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hahahaha!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I thought human flesh taste more like pork, though? Wouldnt that be a white meat?

6 years ago | Likes 97 Dislikes 6

From personal experience, I'd say slightly gamey veal

6 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Kind of a racist thing to say isn't it?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

someone beat you to that "joke" by like 6 hours.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't like it burnt!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pork is red meat.

6 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 4

I do believe it is considered the other other white meat.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

Not by any official clarifications outside of marketing teams for pork products.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nope. Pork. The other white meat.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 9

Yes yes let marketing replace scientific definitions.

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Long pig

6 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 0

Exactly.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

i thought pork was a red meat

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Yes it is. But some people have been brainwashed from marketing and think "the other white meat" is the actual classification.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Nope. Considered white meat, despite being pink.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 6

No it is not. That's a marketing ploy and pork is classified as red meat.

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Interesting, I didn't think these classifications were real things. To what quality does it refer, other than color?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think it's about the contents and nutritional value of meat from different animal groups. I think red meat is mostly just a mammal thing?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The amount of myoglobin in animal muscles determines the color of meat. Pork is classified a red meat because it contains more myoglobin /

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

WHY DO YOU KNOW THAT INFO?

6 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

When you loot a corpse in The Elder Scrolls it says its white meat

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

in all seriousness there's a lot of combat veterans that have trouble with people cooking pork because of this. Source: Family.

6 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Hopefully that aversion is just based on smell, not taste.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Well I wasn't gonna let them go to waste.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Some dude in the Netherlands had two slices of asscheek removed so he could eat one and have the other tested for nutritional value

6 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Of course he was Dutch.

6 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

FUCKIN LYING DUTCHMAN!!!

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Lived in PNG for a couple of years, human meat is reffered to as "Long Pig".

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

And I lived in JPG, so many artifacts!

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Wow! I lived in GIF. Btw, the locals hate people who pronounce it 'jiff'

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sorry, Papua New guinea. As an Aussie it's easy to forget that PNG equates to something else to the rest of the world.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It is ok, I was just joking.
