He got over 50% of the vote. Second closest was 8 points away. These are mandate numbers.

The NYC "elite" better get in line. They have no ground to stand on.

There were those "better Russian than democrat" t-shirts floating around...

When you don't know what socialism is, so you call it communism because you don't know what that is either.

Fuck The Post. With a rolled up copy of The Post.

Editions like these are a great motivator to cancel your subscription if you still have one. -hint- -hint- Vote with your money.

Pffft, "Red Apple"... I WISH. I mean who doesn't like a nice, deep red colored apple anyway? I spit on the graves of the propagandists who write this ragged demonizing slop. 😗💦🪦

Oh no, he's going to stop the oppression of the people! The horror!

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This should be considered slander. It's totally baseless.

You know, if they did something equivalent like this to Trump, showing a big fat orange caricature of a bloated nasty looking King with a "Proud Fascist" flag, Trump would immediately sue them.

4 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

At this point I would expect Trump himself to post it. He's already posting videos of him shitting on American cities.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's not slander, it's *libel.*

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When do we start suing these billionaires for libel and slander?

4 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

They make him look cooler than he actually is

4 months ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

They made him a commie. I'd sue for that insult

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 9

The right is really bad at not making people they dislike look cool.

4 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

They lack empathy, so they will NEVER understand "their enemy".

4 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I'm down for Soviet propaganda art coming back, even if it doesn't make sense for socialism.

I can't imagine newspapers still generate enough revenue that supermarkets can't live without them on the shelves.

4 months ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

It's pure profit for them, the papers collect all the unsold copies.

4 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Boomers love spending money on that shit.

4 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Yes but I still can't imagine any grocery chain seeing a noticeable dip in profits if suddenly they remove all newspapers.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

you be suprised. that said seller of news paper dont make a ton of money but its more that peaple go there buys the news and buys a piece of cheap coffee that the store charge way to much for for what it is.

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

bonus: it sold out: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/nov/06/zohran-mamdani-new-york-post

$355 on eBay. But this one

High taxes (on the rich), free stuff (paid for by those taxes and distributed to those who need it), hating Israel (which is a genocidal dictatorship) and 'vibes' (a scary word you don't know that all the Youths keep using that could mean ANYTHING OOooOOooOoOOOO!!!!)

4 months ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Do they not know the difference between Socialism and Communism, or do they assume the public doesn't?

4 months ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

Both

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a pretty safe assumption. For most people, the two are synonyms. Even around here, a lot of people believe one is just the 'baby' form of the other.

4 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yep. I have nice ignorant people who listen when I explain and say, "Why aren't we taught this in school?" so, I mean, that's kind of hopeful?

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The second one, I believe...

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's not that they're too stupid to tell the difference, it's that they don't care to distinguish while slinging mud. The bullshit on their rhetoric is off the fucking charts.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Even the Soviet Union didn't know the difference between socialism and communism.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes

4 months ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

The difference? They couldn't even tell you what they are to begin with.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The paper is owned by Rupert Murdoch. They know exactly what they're doing.

4 months ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

They know very well. It's just that the word Communism is still, since the 1950s, a trigger word for the hard of thinking.

4 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

My mom passed away in September. My brother and I got into the day she did because I hadn't spoken to him in like ten months. At one point he grabs the copy of Mao's Manifesto I purposely left out, and yells at me "Are you a communist?!" I just started laughing and yup pretty much. It's the same as the time I bought and left out a Wiccan handbook when he first started getting really into conservative christianity. I'm normally not a petty person, though with him I can be.

4 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

You. I like you. Also sorry for your loss.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thank you.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Boomers were actively told it was better to blow up the world 16x over rather than give Communism (and its gateway drug socialism) an inch. Then one day the threat just stopped without pageantry or climax. I firmly believe cold war babies have a generational PTSD that's still waiting for the bomb to drop, and it's been successfully exploited by media groups for decades.

4 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

NYC banks and trading firms have benefited from socialism for years. They don't want to share it.

4 months ago | Likes 451 Dislikes 5

Socialism for them, sir. It's social darwinism for *you*.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They only want corporate socialism, for the public only poverty

4 months ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

It's amazing how many millions big corporate owners donated to Como for him to lose.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Subsidy" is just another kind of socialism.

4 months ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0

Receiving any monetary amount from the government is literally socialism. Tax breaks are socialism. Food stamps are socialism. Giving extra eggs to your neighbors is socialism.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In America, the word socialism does not mean the government owns the means of production, but rather from when white opponents of Black voting insisted that the money to pay for programs like schools redistributed wealth. They demanded an end to the taxes that supported public programs - Heather Cox Richardson

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Tree-fiddy the means of production.

4 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Literally welfare. If SNAP is welfare a subsidy is worse. It’s a reward for working on shit nobody wants, or needs.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh, and I'm not saying socialism is a bad thing. It actually works better than capitalism in the long run, and it's certainly far better than communism.

Wasn't New York Post a real newspaper? Basically a tabloid at this point.

4 months ago | Likes 200 Dislikes 5

Bird cage liner

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

NY Post has been a conservative rag for as long as I can remember. My theory as to why people don't know this is because they show up innocuously in the backgrounds of a shitload of media so viewers probably assume they're "just another newspaper".

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

nah it's been garbage for a very long time

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The Post is basically the NYC National Enquirer. Used toilet paper with ads.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

NY Post has been gossip and tabloids as far as I can remember. Maybe way back when it was first founded it was a serious paper.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It was a real newspaper back in the 20th century... at least until the 1980's, when they shifted to more of a tabloid format. Since the Bush years, it has declined... and now, it's no better than The National Enquirer.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As far as ive know. It was treated as the most base newspaper. The writing is middle school level and so is its tendency to dramatize the subjects they cover. Its goes from bottom to top; NY post>daily news>NY times and Wall Street Journal.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Founded in 1801, it was a very respected paper for a long time. It switched over to a tabloid format in 1943 when Dorothy Schiff took over. The biggest change, which cut off all credibility, was in 1976 when Rupert Murdoch's Newscorp purchased it. So..... for most the majority of the living population on earth, there has never been a time in their life when it was a real newspaper.

4 months ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 2

Bird cage liner. " . . . Rock the Casbah! Rock the Casbah! . . ."

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It’s on par the Globe, Sun, and National Examiner.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm 40 years old and I can't remember a time when they had a single shred of legitimacy.

4 months ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 2

no, always tabloid. Notorious for it in fact. For the life of me I just assume people online who aren't very knowledgeable on news started confusing it for the new york times. No clue why people share around their incendiary headlines when they are and always have been a trash outlet. The proper thing to do when they publish shit like this is ignore it and never share it.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

people also love to share the Daily Mail, so I think maybe people are just really bad at source evaluation.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's been owned by Rupert Murdoch for decades. LONG time since it was anything but a fash rag.

4 months ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Fetish Rag for Right Wingers. :)

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Rupert Murdoch (same guy who owns Fox News and literally hundreds of other far right news outlets and newspapers around the world) bought it sometime in the 70s or 80s, I think.

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Murdoch is an arsehole.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

you're probably thinking of the times, not the post.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Now also a MAGA rag

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i wouldn't go quite that far, but it's no reuters or AP, to be sure

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The Times cheered for invading Iraq so hard...

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, but you have to go back a really, really, really long time for that. Mostly its be a tabloid/newspaper blend.

But, since 1976, Rupert Murdoch's News Corp has owned it. Keep it more far right tabloid, other NewsCorp divisions cite for credibility in their reporting. Because that makes it more credible and true...

4 months ago | Likes 86 Dislikes 0

Fuck Murdoch, I hope he dies angry and alone.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Everything Rupert touches turns to cheap lies and toxicity.

4 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Rupert Murdock can suck the feces straight from my sphincter

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty sure he's not a communist

4 months ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

For average poorly educated American, who is also brainwashed by propaganda, communism and socialism is the same. They can't tell the difference

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Hes not even a socialist. Americans are brainwashed

4 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Communism and socialism are scary words for those that don't know their meaning. i've learned that almost all murican's associate both words with fascism.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I thought the Billionaires and Magites liked Russia and the Oligarchs?

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He's not, but they can't tell the difference. Even if they could, they've been programmed to hate anything they don't understand. Which, given the state of education, is kind of a lot...

4 months ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

They can tell the difference. They don't want to.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It doesn't... say 'communist' anywhere in this post?

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 19

There's a fucking hammer and sickle right there, lol

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

No but the "newspaper" is using communist imagery, because the US far right, tend to be wilfully ignorant. Things like facts, reasoning and basic human decency don't get in the way of a good ragebait headline and imagery.

4 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

It does have overt references to the soviety union though.

4 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Which was not communist.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 12

Please crack open a history book. I beg of you.

4 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

The USSR consolidated public resources and wealth under a central authority, who managed it in lieu of "the people". That is ... basically as textbook 'socialist' as it gets. It doesn't matter what the party called themselves.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 9

Yes, and your article says it was adopted as the state symbol for the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. It's more widely recognized as a symbol of the USSR than anything to do with communism - outside of propaganda, anyway.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 14

Literally the first sentence of the article, my dude.

4 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Yes, and Wikipedia also says the swastika "is a symbol used in various Eurasian religions and cultures, as well as a few African and American cultures". It doesn't matter what Wikipedia says it is. The hammer and sickle is associated with the USSR - a purportedly socialist organization, thus why it was used while calling him a socialist.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 13

If you're describing the hammer and sickle as something other than the symbol that communist parties adopted as their own, you're ignoring history. The fasces weren't an originally fascistic symbol either. But we live in 2025.
