I don't know how you sleep at night with that sort of thing weighing on you. No really, tell me! If you have any tips, please pass them along. I haven't slept well all week :(
Its like an addiction for me. I think about it a lot when im awake, about how much I cant wait to go to sleep. I think I would pimp myself out for sleep. I cancel plans to sleep instead. I don't get necessary chores done and instead sleep. I wish I wasnt like this. It's miserable
I have to fight it. I feel tired all the time in the back of my head. I gotta force myself to get up and try to live. Wish I could see a doctor about it.
@op my favorite part about sleeping is falling asleep all comfy. I love it so much I'll set alarms in 20 min intervals starting an hour before I need to wake up so I can go back to sleep again a few times before I have to get up
I used to enjoy running myself out at 100%. Then the body wore out. Later the brain got hardwired to where I have to take meds to slow it down. Thankfully I can now weigh the consequences beforehand. So I sleep more.
Let's not be too quick to diagnose a mental health problem when it could also be that other mammalian predators sleep a LOT and we don't. I think about this everytime I have to down a barrel of caffeine to get up to the necessary productivity level to make money for someone else who spends his day on a golf course.
But are you sleepmaxxing? Do you have the optimal mattress firmness? Opinions on duvets? Pillow material? What's your preferred thread count? Direct airflow? Ambient noise or as quiet as possible?
My ex and I bought a Sleep Number and that thing is super comfortable (I got to keep the bed because we still owed $4,000 on it). Sleep Number beds are amazing but stupidly expensive.

I would sleep forever if I could. I think one day I will.

If not recovering, chronic inactivity WILL damage health. But hyperactivity should be limited to less than 14 hours daily. ... Good luck.

I, too, love to sleep.

Jealous. I “slept in” as long as I could this morning. 7:30. I made it to 7:30am.

Nothing makes my kitty happier than us just hanging out in bed all day. What kind of monster would I be to deny him this?

You gotta physically fight it, every day.

Or just take a nap, even though it's 15 minutes after you woke from a 5 hours nap. On an unmade bed. In street clothes.

I wouldn't go as far as to say I was diagnosing anything tbh. Like I hear what youre saying but it was just a interwebs post

All that sounds expensive and thus stressful

The floor is still my safe space. If Im stressed or upset I sleep on the floor....my back pays for it the next day
KZFDG
I sleep on the floor, because I got used to sleeping on the floor as a kid
RevolutionOnHerLips
I slept on the floor for 2 years in my early twenties. Health problems prevent me from doing it now, but I honestly miss it.
ebonyfaery
Surely you've still got to replace your mattress every eight years? You're spending 4k every eight years on a bed? That seems like loads!
PleaseRespectMyAsshole
No. It is, essentially, an air mattress (just a really high end one). The whole thing comes with a 10 year warranty, which is nice.
ebonyfaery
Oh phew lol
