A black girl tested how I spoke in 7th grade. She asked me to say "How you do dat there?" I said "How do you do that?". Her response was 1/2
"See, this nigga talk white!"...and they all had a laugh. I'm sitting there thinking I talk like a normal fucking person. But okay.

As someone who has worked at a few inner-city schools in Toledo as an after-school program assistant... this is changing. Hard.
That's a relief. This image really bums people out but I think it's important to stay optimistic, the guy goes on about change for a reason.

More exposure to different cultures. In my experience if a school is lacking in diversity it is because they are 95% white and not black. If
a school is not in an affluent area then it is most likely pretty evenly mixed between black, hispanic, and white. The minority are asian2/3
That kind of school is the exact opposite of what the OP was describing.
