#13 does “D.O.C.” stand for Department of Cuteness? Cause it should

Department of Conservation in NZ, kinda like US Parks Service/Department of Interior see doc.govt.nz, and yes, damn cute little birb.

The little black bird is not a crow chick, it's a baby rail. Crow chicks are the 'naked and blind' variety.

I'll take 1.95kg of baby otter please.

Yes, your honour. We found her with 2 kilos. Of cocaine? No, baby otters. CAN I SEE THEM?!

Tell your baby I love him

#13 actually that's not a baby penguin. it's old enough to be independent, and reportedly was merely lost. DOC picked it up for a C&R

Thank you, OP-Yoda. ?? This is what I needed. What we ALL needed.

On this note I’m upvoting/favoriting this, and leaving Imgur for the day so nothing can fuck up this cuteness. ✨♥️

What kind of snek? And just one baby snek?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Growing up in western Washington we had river otters that were fairly curious, amazing little fisherman. I never got to see the sea otters

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

in the wild sadly, but there were a ton of otters in Green River (THAT Green River) that you'd find picking off trout or hatchery Salmon.

There were quite a few sea otters that would come down the Sound and visit the docks in Olympia. At least until the seals followed them down

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There are Tons throughout Puget Sound I've just never happened across them :/ lol

#26 is not a baby crow. I believe it is a baby corncrake.

4 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 0

Came to say that xD

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

YES! Also known as rails! Thank you!

4 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Thank you, I couldn't remember their other name.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

THIS is a baby crow.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Which is still pretty damn cute!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Precocial chicks are always fluffy and cute whereas the altricial chicks are bald and wrinkly looking. Crows seem to be the latter.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Correct! The opposite of crows would be kiwis. Iirc they are the most fully developed chick when hatched, basically a small adult.
