Robin Williams taught me that no matter how amazing a person is you never know the pain and darkness in their true self. It makes me look at all aspects of life a bit differently.

Stop putting your stupid fucking music over clips.

I had a book about Koko when I was young that I read 100 times over and Mork and Mindy was my absolute favorite show when it was on the air. I can not see this video without tearing up.

This angers me so much because we lose good people like him too soon but the monsters live forever.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I guess you were muted or you'd be angry about even more.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

People say hatred and anger will shorten your life but it seems to be the exact opposite.

"That dude looks like a hairier version of me?!" - Koko the gorilla.

Fun fact: The reason they met was that Koko loved the movie Flubber which featured Robin Williams. She even recognized him from the movie. Source: I saw a documentary about it where Koko's trainers talked about it.

3 months ago | Likes 100 Dislikes 1

As the risk of stating the obvious, Koko's trainers weren't exactly known for their scientific rigor and enthusiasm for accurate observation.

3 months ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 2

Not so fun fact, Koko's "trainers" were little more than commercial publicity, koko couldn't speak/sign. It's not much better than the tiger king when you look into it.

She died 4 years later in 2018. It's crazy to think Robin Williams died 11 years ago. I could swear it was only like 4 years ago

"Genie, I'm ... I'm gonna miss you."

3 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yeah time is getting kind of crazy with the speeding up towards my death. Things that just came out or just happened were 10 years ago.

3 months ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

My theory: Nothing happened more than 1/4 to 1/3 of your life ago.

If you idly think of a tv show or book or job farm far in your past, it will only feel about that old.

I believe that it’s because we change as we age, but less slowly over time. And when we think or feel about the past, we can’t easily move our mental POV back past a certain amount of change.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

new to old? After this realization occurs about 10 more times for you, it will become normal....somewhat lol.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

OH MY GOD, I FORGOT KOKO HAD DIED!!!
