They'll listen to TRUMP instead of a real medical professional?

Maybe they ought to review his previous medical advice speeches.

History needs a Hacker to release the Epstein files

Our pediatrician's office has a bunch of negative google reviews from around covid times because they make patients follow the recommended vaccine schedule. I take it as confirmation that they're doing things right.

This is just more project 25 BS to demonise women

JFC. Good luck to them for getting medical advice from Fox News

Good riddance. Good luck with your much rougher pregnancy. Hope they don't use bleach instead

They're not the kind of patients she should waste her precious time on. xx

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

She should stop telling people to take Tylenol and start telling them to take "Acetaminophen" (pronounced correctly, as many intelligent people can do.) I wonder how many patients would accept that.

An odd form of natural selection I guess.

6 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I recently posted about an OBGYN nurse telling me that they already had a patient that came n saying she didn't want any aceta..acetone..anemone... Tylenol because she didn't want her child to get autism. As stupid as RFK is and as much as it is pointed out that he is stupid he still has a baffling influence.

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Losing patients that are maga Karen’s? That’s a win.

6 months ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

I was gonna say, if it wasn't the stupid Tylenol thing, they were more than likely going to leave sooner rather than later, anyway. If anything, it's more surprising it hadn't happened sooner.

6 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Not saying this didn't happen, but I have 6 kids and in 0 cases were pediatricians giving my wife medical advice and our first pediatrician appt was always at the hospital once the kid was born. She got all her medical advice 1from her OB/GYN. So also I am sorta saying this never happened.

6 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I’m saying this didn’t happen because of that. Why would pregnant people be seeking pediatrician advice when they’re only seeing their OB while pregnant? There’s no pediatrics to be done until there’s a baby present. I’m sure this has happened but it would be happening at an OB/GYN clinic not a pediatrician’s office.

Darwin Participation Awards for all of them!

I have children in my family with medical degrees, and a couple of them believe some of the stupidest shit imaginable. Even college graduates are not immune to being scammed by con artist assholes. The average person has no hope of knowing what's good advice and what isn't. Critical thinking has been destroyed by decades of an abysmally poor education system.

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's not just this administration. For decades Republicans have sought to destroy education in the US because they know an educated electorate is their biggest opponent.

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

People shouldn't take medical advice from a pedo. Just saying...

Working healthcare during Covid broke me as a person

6 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I am sorry you had to go through that. I knew a couple of people who'd gotten burned out on it too. On top of that, Trump fucking up the PPE distribution and then going on this "vaccinations are optional" bullshit. VACCINATION PROGRAMS NEED COMPLIANCE. The whole point of vaccinating everyone is to stop the spread of infection. Optional? That's working against the program. "Buuht, muh freedumbs!" ~ All MAGA

Entnazifizierung, it has been done before with good results, just wait for the bunker incident, it can't be long now (hopefully).

Good! Now she'll have to answer fewer idiotic questions. And with any luck those idiot parents and their kids will die.

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I always found it boggling how some people think autistic means mentally handicapped

Probably because the only image in their heads is a completely non-verbal with extreme sensory overload issues who isn't getting the care and treatment they need

We *all* have to deal with this shit. The stupidity doesn't live in a vacuum.

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The writing was already on the wall.

If any other presidential candidate for 2024 had said this shit, they'd have been laughed into oblivion and certainly off the ballot:

Don't forget about Dr. Quack on his other side. I knew Dr. Oz was a scam from day one, and I could tell by the stuff I gleaned from my dad when getting his nursing degree.

6 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

And Oz has $$ in iHerb which may benefit from this.

There's always a grift angle to everything they do.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, but the babies born with birth defects from their moms having untreated fevers don't deserve that.

6 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

God has a purpose for all of us. Allegedly.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or the children dying from untreated fevers.

6 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I have to focus my efforts on things that I can control. Trying to control other people's lives to protect a fetus is right wing ideology, and I won't do that. People have the right to make bad decisions. It may be regrettable, but I don't have the right to tell another person what to do with their medical decisions.

6 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Obviously I wouldn't make a pregnant woman take any medication. I'm just saying it really sucks that they are being lied to because it's going to hurt their babies. Luckily doctors seem to be not following the president's lead.

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Darwinism and survival of the fittest is a thing, you know. If they self-select themselves for misery, I wouldn't stand in their way. (Yes - it sucks that babies will no longer get herd immunity, but that means smart parents will just have to find a way to protect them.)

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh my sweet summer child, we're still dealing with the fallout from reagan's administration. This is so much worse. I don't believe we'll ever fully recover from this. It's like the fall of rome where Italy may be okay now but they're a shadow of what they were back in the ancient days.

All Drumpf is doing is revealing to you your indoctrinated delusions. america was never great. Empty, self obsessed and Empty headed rhetoric will never mean greatness, because anyone who must go around spouting about their own greatness will only ever be a flawed moron. Should you ever wish to confront reality honestly then make an attempt to study history, and not in the expurgated editions meant to lie to school children and church goers.

6 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

European here. If you were born anytime from 1910 to 1950, all other things being equal, your best bet was to be born in the US.

Of course we can imagine lots of other criteria for "greatness", but median economic and health outcomes important and measurable.

In the space of 30 years and 2 world wars, something like 70% of the world's total capital found it's way to the US. There was a few decades there where a welder who had the good fortune to be american could capture a decent slice of it.

We are dealing with the fallout of rising fascism that has been happening since Kennedy was assassinated. And the rising oligarchy. And yes we are in a decline that few of us will see the eventual upturn and no one will see us return to the pinnacle of our power and influence. Probably for the better, the powers that be will learn they have to cater to the proletariat. I want voting mandated and a large fine assessed on those who choose not to vote. And I want children to be taught this happen/

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

-ed because people didn’t vote and didn’t keep themselves informed about current events and world politics. Yes WWI &WWII started in Europe, but we ended up with Americans dying over there, and it will happen this time too.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean one random ass doctor literally caused the vaccine = autism movement. So ya the president saying some crazy is probably gonna be an issue

Oh well. FAFO.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 6

Hey chucklefuck. Some of us didn't vote for this. Those kids sure fucking didn't.

That was for the people who follow poor advice. I’m not as empathetic as I once was to those who choose to follow idols rather than use critical thinking and science.

Wakefield should have his testicles pulverized with a ballpeen hammer for the remainder of his life.

I actually hold Jenny Mccarthy more accountable for that one. She, and probably Oprah, spread the lies farther than he ever could.

Don't forget Jim Carrey was dating her at the time and amplifying the message too.

On a similar note, to this day people believe MSG causes cancer. You know the only place in the world that puts a warning label on MSG for the possibility of causing cancer? California. A place that apparently literally puts similar warnings on parking garages.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because of just the damage done in less than a year. I'm terrified of what the next generation of children being born now will be like. And the real terrifying bit is there's still over 3 years to go. At least I hope it's 3-ish years.

6 months ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 0

Hopefully NOT .

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hope as in "I hope that it is no longer than three years"; I doubt they'd turn down an impeachment, removal from office, and stripping of everyone in line who has an (R) after their name because not one of these shitlords can be trusted to run a McDonalds much less the government, but they'll settle for "we get him out and can rebuild the democracy later"

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oprah gave them the audience.

6 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I think it should be noted that the fraud & disgraced ex-doctor Andrew Wakefield's study, which was paid for by a lawyer with the explicit goal of finding a loophole to sue the producer of the MMR vac, who was also peddling his own version of the measles vaccine and was not anti-vax just fraudulently anti-MMR, was not the founder of the autism-vaccine anti-vax movement, he just popularized it. His horrific study, which abused autistic children to fake his results, 1/2

6 months ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

was only made possible by a pre-existing group of anti-vaccine moms who volunteered for the study so that he'd have patients he could trust to give the answers he wanted. Wakefield is a monster in his own right, but the movement did actually exist before him. 2/2

6 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

I give this information because more people should be aware of JUST HOW BAD that study actually was. It's SO MUCH WORSE than people assume.

6 months ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

It's an anti-science study, so it is pure 100% evil and greed. No need to get lost in the details.

6 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Eh, when the details take it from "this anti-science study made people doubt vaccines for someone's profit and cruelty" to "...by the eager abuse of a marginalized people being handed over for the study by people they trust", I think knowing there's evil more evil behind it is worthwhile.

Gonna be a lot of miscarriages cuz the mom’s fever cooked the embryo.

6 months ago | Likes 161 Dislikes 1

Or brain damage

6 months ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

He does love the poorly educated

6 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Then the moms will die because she won’t get proper treatment due to antiabortion laws.

But they’re just women. Not important. Doesn’t matter if they die. /s

6 months ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Well… if they listen to Trump for medical advice, I probably don’t want them procreating anyway…

6 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm cool with a gene pool filter

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And a miscarriage is considered to be murder under trump. So there's gonna be a whole lot of heartbroken women in prison for murder.

6 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

But wait, there's more! He also wants to bring capital punishment back!

6 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Don't forget about martial law folks. Conservative nutjobs cosplaying as ICE/DEA/FBI/cops... judge, jury and executioner. As a human.. who loves humans, who love humans.... If you have a passport, now's the time to leave. The US is so very close to becoming Nth Korea. Australia is my home and we welcome all people.

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Indigenous kids are counting on us. Their stories are worth more than gold.

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I would expect many more 'seemingly random' deaths of women because they had miscarriages that turned into infections but cannot report/tell anyone them for fear of being imprisoned. Death rates go up, but then people claim "look, less miscarriages! God is good!!"

6 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

We need abortions anonymous
Both as a form of group trauma therapy and quiet service connection

And have probably needed it for years anyway

6 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And the number of autistic children won't decline because Tylenol has fuck-all to do with autism.

6 months ago | Likes 84 Dislikes 0

And you know that for sure?

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

May even increase or result in more severe cases.

6 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

There's evidence it ***might***. It's one study that makes a good argument that has yet to be strongly verified or debunked, as far as I've been able to determine. My opinion on it as of now has been, "Yeah, it's probably bullshit because of all the reasons that people say it is, but maybe there's a small causative correlation." (Like, maybe 0.4% of the population would have autism, instead of 0.45%, if pregnant mothers didn't take it. We got better things to deal with.)

6 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 6

The larger more thorough studies show non-causal association (siblings where tylenol was only taken during 1 of the sibling's pregnancies show 0 difference in autism rates, but households where 1 of the pregnancy's required tylenol have slightly higher rates). It's not that tylenol increases chances of autism (it doesn't), but something in the environmental or biological conditions that increase the chance that you would want tylenol also give some increase to chance of autism.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I read that same study. Once they added sibling data and genetics it removed causality. I’m hunting for the articles I read.

I’m a mom of a little giant. I am very worried this bullshit will affect his access to future care.

6 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I would appreciate that! I haven't found those things, and I know that I'm autistic, my brother isn't, and my mom took a lot more Tylenol when she was pregnant with my brother than with me, but I'm aware that anecdotal data is not indicative of real data, so I wanted to keep an open mind. I'd be glad to put those small doubts to rest

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I promise I am going to find it for you.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Mostly I bring this up in the spirit of, "If Hitler tells you murder is bad, you better believe murder is bad." He's still a monster, but even just randomly throwing darts at the board will hit a bullseye *occasionally.*

6 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

It's not a broken clock situation though. Wormbrain and friends are just wrong here.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

With respect, and I know I didn't link the study myself, but, "No someone's wrong and I will not be explaining further," is not a valid retort in the realm of science.

Someone else has mentioned adding data about siblings and genetics to the study I mentioned removed the causal link, though, which separately verifies your statement (and supports my own experience with my family) so yes, you're right. But I wasn't convinced because you said anything, I was convinced by that other person.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh, also, for the record, leucovorin is absolutely fucking stupid, won't help a god damn thing, it's snake oil. They returned to throwing the dart at the fucking moon on that one. I know everyone knows this, but I just feel better being sure I said it

6 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

No, they mentioned leucovorin because Dr. Oz is a major stakes holder in a company that makes it. It's all about $$$
