One of the best jokes of season 2

I miss trip I was so sad when he died

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That scene was creative as hell and definitely made me smile. Like, wtf, moment inside laugh

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I died laughing at this bit. I really had to pause the episode so as not to miss any plot.

I'm sure Comcast will find away to interrupt that download

Whelp. OP stole the best top comment with the title. Something something 404

He should've put it in a comment, like a good point whore? :P

Wade, I am still eh about this joke.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Still valid: packing a Honda CR-Z full with 10TB 3.5" HDs and driving for an hour = 41920 Gbit/s. Pretty damn impressive!

I watched the finale in pure denial. I was like "what's his power gonna be!?" a good while. I kept denying her claims that he was dead. tRIP

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hate on this show that every time they introduce a new agent they either die or turn evil. I like the idea that SHEILD is a larger (1)

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

organization than just the main cast and there are other competent members. Anytime they roll out the swat guys or a team of faceless (2)

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

agents, you just know it's about to be slaughter time (3)

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

I feel you. I liked Lincoln too, he was the hot one.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I always hated his forced romance with Daisy and generally didn't like him for a long time. Now I like him and am sick of Daisy. Shucks.

He and Skye would've been way cuter than Daisy and Lincoln ever were.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nah, I actually enjoy their genuine non-romantic relationship in the show, kinda like their brother/sister relationship w her and Mack

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Okay, don't hate me but I kinda want to see her with Mack. I usually like platonics, I don't know what's wrong with me!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I get it, I dont want it, but I understand. I mean lets be real, if the show is real life Im pretty sure theyd bang ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I like it. Because if someone's called Daisy you're expecting this delicate little flower, but she's tough as nails.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Julies Andrews, the goddess.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Agents of SHIELD is such a damn satisfying show. But, I recommend you watch a whole season at a time. So you keep the story threads.

9 years ago | Likes 318 Dislikes 5

Though if you haven't yet watched the movies, they do reference those events. Highly recommend a viewing guide.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seasons 1 & 2 had the most satisfying finales of any TV show I've ever seen. Season 3 was a letdown for me. I wish Agent Carter'd come back.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love this show but Daisy need to toughen up a little bit IMO. A little bit of a crybaby. Everyone else had to make sacrifices and do 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

2/2 things they didn't necessarily want to do not just her

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I saw season one, then they started more or less requiring that I watched the other marvel movies in between, then I quit the series.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 6

Yeah, you don't necessarily have to watch the movies, but there's a break between episodes where you should.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

watched all 3 seasons in a row and now i hate that i have to wait for season 4 :<

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Season 3, damn, watching it as a marathon, it was so damn good. And Coulson, he's maybe my #1 man crush.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And when he wears glasses, as in the gif above, damn. I just love him so much, though.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He's so great as a character, and as an actor, god damn, he's just so sexy, I can't put my finger on why, but holy shit he does it for me.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I enjoy it but I feel it's pretty eh. halfway through season 2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It really kicks in to gear after Winter Soldier. They also brought on some of the fight choreographers from Daredevil, shit gets beautiful.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

nice i'll keep watching

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There's some properly great fight scenes with Daisy, end of season 2. God damn. Daredevil choreographers, so good!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I don't think I'll ever forgive them for season 1, episode 17. While I applaud the acting chops of a certain character, I'm still sad

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

I'm not a huge fan of the show, but I kind of loved that twist. It made his character and his acting so much more interesting.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

His acting was PHENOMENAL

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He absolutely killed that role! IMO, it was the best thing the show could have done for his character and his career.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What happened in that ep? I haven't watched season 1 in ... god... I guess 4 years

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I don't want to give anything away for those who haven't seen it, but it's the episode with Hydra

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

I guess, I could use a little more info. In spite of my love for the series, I found season 1 to be, pretty disappointing.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It was definitely a rough start, in my opinion

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Agent Ward

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

After season 3, Daisy is starting to get a little OP. But it's expected since Joss Whedon is involved and she's playing the part of Buffy.

9 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 5

Joss hasn't written or directed since the pilot, though.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That doesn't mean that he won't bring the banhammer down on writers that don't respect his plot threads. :P

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Daisy is OP even in comics. There is a reason Nick fury trusted her to become next head of shield.

9 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

To be fair, with or without Whedon, it's a bit of a trope amongst super heroes in general anyway. It's kind of the source material.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

I loved how compromised she was this season, and how her power was used against SHIELD. This season was pretty god damn boss.

9 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

I like that she finally figured out that she could use her power to launch herself into the air. Would've been the first thing I tried.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

Yeah, watching the inhumanes figure out their shit was fascinating.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Am i the only one who thought this season was one of the worst? Like the first two were great.. but this last one just didn't compare

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

"The universe revolves around Daisy and almost everything that happens is directly related to some vague prophesy about her." -seasons 2 & 3

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Personally I hated the 1st season but pushed through it, seasons 2 and 3 were really good. Also gave more to Hydra than just leftover Nazis.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Don't you dare talk shit about Buffy

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Buffy was crap. Wanna fight about it?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 8

Bring it, bitch

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

After a few eps. I find the girl in the gif pretty uninteresting and not believable as a hacker/badass. Hope it gets better.

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 4

The first season makes all the characters look bland and 2 dimensional

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh it gets so much better, hell, just for Coulson, and for Ming Na, seriously, she's so great in this series. What a weapon of an actor.

9 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 1

She gets better, don't worry

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you were a Stargate Universe fan, she played the most unlikeable bureaucrat so well, like Umbridge from Potter unlikeable. She's great

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Chloe Bennet was never in SGU. However, Ming-Na Wen (Agent May) was. Is that who you were referring to?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Aye, it is. Ming-Na was the Umbridge type. She was also fucking fantastic in Push, a cult sci-fi.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The series cannot be judged by the first 6 or 7 eps. Maybe the first 8. I didn't like it at all and was very disappointed at first.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I feel like I'm the only person who loved it from the get-go, but I do think the second half of season 1 on is when it gets really good.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I completely agree with you

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not sure if you're the only one, but I had to get convinced by my best friend to keep watching, because she read it got good after. :)

Any good?

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Yes. First season is okay until Turn Turn Turn and it gets better. The following 2 seasons get progressively better imo.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Considering it's on a TV budget and timetable, it's decent at least.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Be prepared for a cheesy few first episodes, but then it suddenly takes a turn and gets mad interesting

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Given what they have to work with (MCU taking much of the good stuff), it's pretty solid. On its own, though, eh.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

First season is meh until Winter Soldier, then it gets better. Second season was good. Third was best so far.

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

Except the end where Daisy doesn't stop whining when everyone else is keeping it together

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean she was going through withdrawals plus hating herself for turning/wanting to go back etc? Haha D: But yeah, kind of tired of her shit

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fluctuates. I never finished the most recent season and don't plan to.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

"Fluctuates" is the perfect word to describe Flash Season 2.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh lord I quit on that show after 2 episodes. I though Flash actor was horrible. I'm watching Strike Back right now...pretty good so far.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Season 3 has been the best so far imo

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

The main character is this bland female lead and there's a generic action man. The entire supporting cast has personality though.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 7

The main character is Coulson, if there even is one.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I loved the series

9 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

I loved it as well. Watching season 3 right now

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Love it. Great show, great production value, good writers. That season 1 twist was like getting hit by mjolnir in the chest.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It's not unpopular. It had the best season of all the superhero shows last season. Flash was wishy washy and Arrow is... Arrow, and 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Legends of Tomorrow has serious growing pains.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ha arrow. What happened to that show?! Lol shit used to be my favorite show on TV

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I watched the whole first season and I still don't know.

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 2

Pretty much this.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

First season was a terrible example, and it wasn't their fault. The "twist" of Winter Soldier had them killing time. It gets WAY better.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Why wasn't it their fault?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It starts getting good the 2nd half of the 1st season.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That 9.8m/s/s download speed is unbelievably fast.....

Sure, that's the advertised rate but you have to factor in air resistance when calculating download speeds

also, gravity

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Horribly underrated comment

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I got in on this thread pretty late. Glad a few people got to see it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's gravity right?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes. It's 32.2 ft/sec^2 in American

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nononono, we don't use imperial when dealing with physics :P

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sssh. We don't let the others know that!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yay, 13 years of the education system hasn't taught me nothing.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You don't need no education!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So.... It has taught you many things then?

Thanks. And good luck with your degree.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As someone from the states, I wish they would push Metric harder. So much simpler...

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 4

Right there with you. A few interstate signs near me have km on them where we tried to switch a while back, but alas people are stubborn.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

One option could be to have both and teach metric in school. Once the old people die the imperial system will die with them.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

As someone in the US with a small penis I too wish we had metric. 7.62 centimeters sounds much more impressive than 3 inches.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

But.. that's acceleration :(

9 years ago | Likes 169 Dislikes 30

Which is just speed per time.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

If the distance and initial velocity are fixed, the acceleration determines the time, so in an abstract way it *is* speed.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

THANK YOU.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

das the joke you dummy!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

You just decelerated their joke. :(

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

That is not a term that is actually used.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

1) Don't care. 2) You understood it. 3) "Decelerate" is a real word. 4) You decelerated my joke.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It's a real word because people used it so damn much so it was forced. Which is the reason I can understand it, it's just a colloquialism.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like this

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

or the rate at which an object falls.... seeing as the filing cabinet is falling....

9 years ago | Likes 83 Dislikes 16

Nope wrong, that's the acceleration due to gravity, the rate at which it falls(velocity) is increasing due to velocity.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

*due to gravity

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No that's called velocity. This is acceleration

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

which is the rate of acceleration so yes you are correct.... Why so Serious??

9 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 12

Yeah no, rate at which an object falls isn't acceleration..

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Speed is rate of change of position. Acceleration is rate of change of speen.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 3

..."speen"?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

"If acceleration is 9.8 m/s^2, and the initial speed is 0, then after 100 seconds the download speed will be 980 m/s," isn't funny though.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

No. The rate at which is falls is constantly changing the moment it begins free fall. That is its velocity, and it is increasing because 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It is accelerating.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

From the box's perspective it feels no force and is thus not accelerating, it's floating still in a curved spacetime.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 14

However, the cat inside the file cabinet is both dead and alive upon impact...until they open the cabinet, then it's only one of those

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Must be the Flux capacitors inducing a transvibrational subparticle distortion, I think your right

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'll see myself out

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

As the box is not falling through empty space, it will feel the air resistance (force) and thus its acceleration up until terminal velocity

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It will continue to feel acceleration once it has reached terminal velocity. You're feeling acceleration right now.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It saddens me that people are downvoting science. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equivalence_principle and upvoting misinformation

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You are incorrect. Gravity is an external force, and so is the drag force acting on the box. It would indeed feel those forces.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

You literally do not feel gravity when you are in free fall. You are literally wrong about this. I am literally not misusing these words.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, it would feel the drag and hitting the ground, but as for gravity, well, general relativity is weird.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Gravity is a body force and cannot be felt (until the gradient is large enough to differ across the object). Drag is correct though.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Upvote this guy, not me. I'm a fraud!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

An object in free fall does not feel any gravity.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

you are incorrect. A file cabinet is not sentient so it would indeed not feel those forces.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm sorry. I had a hard thought about it, and concluded that you indeed would not feel the gravitational force. I'm literally sorry.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

@mastikator

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The Download speed is amazing

9 years ago | Likes 1620 Dislikes 1

It's almost terminal

Fun fact, when google needs to send huge amounts of data they actually use this method. Though with trucks instead of gravity.

damn. i really like you.

They have Time Warner Cable, that's just normal.

I don't think either of you understand. You downloading from them is THEIR upload speed. You uploading is YOUR upload speed.

yeah, but they can cap that. If you get google fiber I get 940MB down and up. If I get cable they sell 25 down 5 up.

1 Gigabit/s internet is only 125 MB/s. And what I said had nothing to do with interent providers, just that they were both mixing up dl/up.

CRC check might fail.

I'm reminded of a huge Samsung SSD array. They threw a DVD out the window and copied it at the same time. Copy finished first.

Yeah, but then it takes forever to process.

I actually laughed more than I should have lol +1

The latency is bad. You wouldn't, like, want to play Halo on it. But the bandwidth is to die for.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It increases at 9.81m/s/s

Fourth derivative of position? No one?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Eh. It's only 9.8mb/sec^2. I get 40mb at work.

But it's also dependent upon the height. It gets faster the further it downloads. 32 Feet per second, per second, until terminal velocity.

Ugh beat me to it!!!! Curses lol

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But... But that's acceleration

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I get 1.5 Petabytes/sec with my wife. Sadly, this is too fast.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Damnit, I was gonna say that :(

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So it's a terminal server?

9 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 0

fuckin people. +1

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I ,too, enjoy fucking my co-species.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If it downloads for long enough.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

That is if you're downloading that on Earth.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But it means that after a few seconds it will be faster than your 40mb. Imagine what speed it will have after a minute or two!

The problem with it is that the larger the file, the more data corruption you get on the download.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Only if there is no resisting forces on the way.

Gravity accelerates the rate of fall at 32 feet per second, per second, until terminal velocity.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

9.8 meters pet second.
