Hiking

I personally like to hike through cities.

For every minute you run, you add a minute to your life. But, you’ve also wasted a minute running.

I would but I'm not only poor but extremely self conscious. Can't be others around.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’m diabetic. Walking decreased my insulin use by ~20%, jogging decreased it by 40-50% per dose. It’s good for the body

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I prefer to call it "meandering" so it feels less like work

I hiked today. Feels great.

(in the south when it's warm) not in this heat and humidity! I'll wait until winter (in winter) not in this cold! Are you nuts!?

Who's asking these questions? I hike because I want to. Who told us staying in one place all day is normal? WHY AREN'T YOU HIKING?

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I don't know, using my cake & imgur time to go on a hike might reduce my quality of life.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And, hey, hikers and joggers often find hidden bodies.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yessss, hiking is the best way to relax while also working your ass off. I love it.

I’m literally hiking right meow ?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because you can't accidentally pee on electric fences indoors.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Ever hiked with cubscouts? That RAISED my blood pressure and stress levels.

4 years ago | Likes 111 Dislikes 1

Thought you were going in a whole different direction with that one

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This is the unspoken truth about being a scout parent.

Just took my 7,5, and 2 year olds on a hike yesterday. It was the most exhausted a 1.3 mile mostly flat hike has ever made me…

Is that why 30k+ people came to my park today? I sure didn't feel mentally healthy talking to them.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And adding hallucinogens makes it an adventure.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We moved to just above 8,000 ft this time last year so even normal, 2x a day dog walks are hikes.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I work at Home Depot and walk at least 6-8 miles per day

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hiking is one of the best ways to remove what little joy you have left in life.

Sounds exactly like what "Big Hiking" would say...

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The best part of hiking is getting away from humans.

4 years ago | Likes 198 Dislikes 1

That is the best part

I love getting to places that no lazy-ass can reach. Although once I struggled climbing for hours and found a carpark at the top.

I hiked a 4.5 mile trail with my wife that was barely a dirt path, up and down the whole way, totally uneven, because there was a waterfall

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

at the end. Turns out there was a parking lot one staircase away from the falls so it was packed, very disappointing

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Amen. Just me lugging all my camera crap around in the woods.

Nice, where did? Makes me wanna go up into the mountains right now.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Molas Lake, San Juan Mountains, CO. Worth it :)

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nice! I thought it looked kinda like CO.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

/a/DPsoTJe my hike today!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nice. Where at?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Columbia River gorge in Oregon

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We don't hike. We catch the bus

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, my only option (since i dont have any hiking buddies) would be to hike alone. And I watch too much true crime for that shit.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Our bodies evolved as a part of Earth's biome. It doesn't surprise me that it would be at home there and respond accordingly.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I got a driver's license for the specific purpose of not hiking.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

I drive to places I can hike :)

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I wish I lived anywhere but the middle of the city. Hiking down streets surrounded by people with a chip on their shoulder isn't the same...

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Amen. I live in Chicago. We don’t hike - we run in a zig zag pattern.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Living in a city in Hampshire (The first one) I like to project the air of a man in a stab jacket, despite being a mn

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

-being a man who has very delicate skin.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hiking is just a big stupid walk in the woods. I fucking love a big stupid walk in the woods.

4 years ago | Likes 532 Dislikes 4

I hike every day with my dog, rain or shine. She runs around like an idiot. It’s stupid. It’s wonderful.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

wtf? just walking through the woods and up and down hills? it's so gratifying that it makes me want to puke!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I feel like you could've swore more if you'd really tried

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Especially after a fat joint.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It so peaceful I just love how boring it is

4 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

The problem with big stupid walks in the woods is I want to find ruins on big stupid walks in the woods. Coz I read too much fantasy.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And I live in Australia so all I'm gunna find is bush and sticks and maybe snakes. It's not even "woods" I want a portal to another realm xD

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It do be pretty though. Especially in the mountains.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I also enjoy taking enthusiastic walks through the woods.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

v

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m pretty sure that means you should get a dog. Maybe a beagle or a Labrador. No one gets enthusiastic about a walk in the woods like a dog

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not a beagle, they are OCD about barking like a Jack Russell is about bringing back a ball…it.never.ends.
