When crush texts me out of the blue and asks to make me dinner one day this week
He wants to make me homemade pasta with the pasta maker he got for christmas! Aw yeah!
After some sexy innuendo about slurping noodles and saving room to have something in me aside from pasta we agreed that it was on for Wednesday night and he'd shoot me a text then
Tonight's the night. I start primping right after work. Bath and shower. Exfoliated everywhere. Shaved everything. For once my hair, makeup and outfit come together without stressing me out.
It's almost 7pm and I haven't heard from him. Send him a casual text... "hey what's up?" And now we wait...
And wait...
nerves are getting the best of me.
It's been an hour since I texted him...
The reality that I'm being stood up is setting in. I'm sitting at the kitchen island all dressed up and waiting for him to text when roommate comes home and tells me I look beautiful.
8:15pm. I text him again and inquire as to whether he "bitched out" and informed him that seeing as it's getting late I've elected to find my own dinner.
He finally texts back at 9:04pm. "Oh shit. Completely forgot."
Did not dignify that with a response. Waited for a follow up... an apology maybe, but nothing more came. It's now 12:44am and I'm still stewing but don't want to give this man any more of my attention. Just needed to vent.
