And now, "A Lesson In Physics" by Railroad *SLAP* thus concludes "A Lesson In Physics".

Is this a medieval rail gun?

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

Not welding.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No matter where I see this posted I have to watch

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't see the problem here. The mask definitely stopped those sparks.

Hahaha

For anyone who don't know how heavy that is, about a foot of that stuff easily = 50-60lbs

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wow. That could easily kill. This guy might have a broken neck to go with his crushed face.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He just got potential energy'd!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a union staffer, that is not OSHA safe lol

RAILED!!!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Just curious. Can someone with actual medical training opine on what the resultant injuries might be?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Trauma surgeon here.. fractured orbital socket, concussion, broken nose, broken jaw, missing teeth, etc. Lots of things could have happened.

I work at a railroad, we have extremely long torch heads in case of this very scenario

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

yea... the number of times I have used a torch without a mask.. is kinda scary

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I heard it more as a metallic "WHAP!"

Either you learn what potential energy is in school, or life will teach you.

9 years ago | Likes 344 Dislikes 1

He definitely knows now

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

you can just see by the way the bar was bending that it was going to release all that energy once cut

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So much potential.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

But why is the potential energy in school?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

physics? i mean there's that ceiling tile incident... also physics class.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have to say, sometimes with metals it looks as though it's bent into shape when it's actually still under tension.

9 years ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 0

which is why you definitely dont stand in the arched direction. at the very least lowering the chance if you dont know

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

Knowing the luck of some he could've stood on the other side and physics would've fucked him over too.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

physics dont fuck people over, physics only follow the laws

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Soo..... the laws fuck people over?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Probably what happened here. Without the bigger picture it doesnt really look bent.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Looks like that's a railroad rail. anything that can make it arch like that I wouldn't want to fuck with
