I keep my cat food in a plastic container, in a closet. The cans are on a top shelf. He's not allowed in the closet. :)

Kitty no care what you think?

I'm not even mad, that's amazing.

Such a scoundrel

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He got the cabinet open, now I want to see him open a can.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And this is why, though we have no toddlers, our cupboards and drawers are baby-proofed

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She’s putting on weight because you put the snacks where she could get them..

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Are you implying that it can open canned food?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Why was there loose cat food in the cabinet in the first place? There isn’t even a bag in there that it could’ve been in.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

The bag was removed so the cat wouldn’t get in the cabinet anymore. The small bit of kibble was just for video purpose to see how she did it

I see a clever little shit in action.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My friend's cat learned how to turn off computers by flipping the switch on the power supply. It liked the warmth, but not the sound.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Please remove the chemicals from that cabinet before you do it again.

Haha thats one way of getting into the cupboard

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean, my cats can totally get into the cupboard. They're still stymied by the locking Tupperware container that actually holds the kibble.

Time to get the child locks

Skills

Can I suggest something without it sounding judgemental?? Maybe switching foods will help? Friskies is not a great brand.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Errm that did sound really judgemental so..no.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Everyone is judgmental on Imgur. Go for it.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I had a cat that learned to open the fridge. Cupboards were easy.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I can barely open it due to the seal, how in the hell did your cat?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dude had skills. I had to tape the fridge up whenever I went out or at night. He learned on a beer fridge and honed his craft.

Did this person seriously put little treats in the cabinet right next to toxic cleaning products?

5 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 2

Can you read the labels? I cant see them. What is toxic there?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

Those are all household chemicals. I think it's safe to say a cat shouldn't ingest them. For the cat, they should be considered toxic.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Right?! Poor kitty doesn't deserve such dumbass negligent humans

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

My cat did not ingest any chemicals. However thanks for your judgment & nasty conclusion.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Food and cleaning products should not be close together if pets can access it . Buuuut I should have been less mean about it...

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Its common sense to not store food products with cleaning products. careless people like you have had pets get sick and play dumb about it

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Doesn't help you put kibble out to entice kitty

5 years ago | Likes 471 Dislikes 2

Only did that so we could catch on video how she has been getting in there. Kibble isn’t usually just sitting out lol

I love your tortie! I'll get a picture of the one that just adopted us. She looks exactly the same

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ok, but if that's also cleaners in the same cabinet as the food, put them somewhere else.

5 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 2

There's not even food it could get into if you hadn't done that...like??? And not that it needs said again. But move from the cleaning stuff

She is BEAUTIFUL!! I had one named "Catso" who was voluptuous and lovely. Curious personalities.

5 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

I was expecting Kitty to whip out a can opener.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Cats can get into stuff in the cupboards that are poisonous, eh...

5 years ago | Likes 137 Dislikes 1

Came here to say that, friend lost a puppy that way. Stay safe y'all

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

my cat only gets in the giant mixing bowl to rest

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is that as big a thing with cats as dogs? Serious question: I grew up with cats and zero child locks. None ate garbage or chemicals.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Our entire house is baby proofed. Partly for the toddlers, mostly cause we have 3 cats.

5 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

same diff. ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have no kids and 3 cats. Can confirm child locks on everything

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I've had to put baby-proof latches on all my cabinet doors for this reason.

5 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0

yup, time to up your game.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mine leave the kitchen alone but are obsessed with the bathrooms. I don't understand but I'm grateful.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same. I keep no cat food in those cupboards, but mine are all obsessed with breaking into them.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’m cheap so had to put duck tape. Ugly sure but it worked. Baby locks didn’t since they still created noise.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It always felt like a horror movie walking into a kitchen with all the cabinet doors open from my cat

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Same. I had trouble finding a latch for our sliding glass closet doors because one of our girls figured out how to slide it open

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Tension curtain rods. We're fully stocked with those also.
