The love is apparent in this precious moment, and you can see both girls in Michelle's cute look. They were rarely this unrestrained or unguarded later, in the heat of the world's attention.

Before they ran the world, back in Chi town.

The family on the night they won the nomination to run for the Democrats. Excitement is in the air, and all four of them are color coded with pinks and reds. Here we come, America.

The heart-jerking moment on election night 2008, when the first black family to win the White House stood together. As Beyonce sang that night: at last.

The girls head off to their first day of school in D.C. on January 5, 2009, before they moved into 1600 Pennsylvania.

These two led the nation in more than just laws. Their fashion senses, and their love and respect for one another, inspired us all.

The Obama bag. The pink sneaks. The understanding smile between mom and daughter. The marine at attention in the background. I mean, this one just breaks all kind of hearts.

Even the first family deserves to have a casual moment now and then.

The Obama's watch the World Cup in July of 2011, as relaxed and laid back as any of our families, just in a room furnished by the Smithsonian.

Malia and Barack get each other. They can often be seen cracking up. And she's almost as tall as him, now!

Mom and the kids on the Great Wall of China in 2014.

The future leaders of the world pose for a selfie during the inauguration parade of 2013.

Catching a basketball game in Maryland in 2013, the family looks genuinely connected and happy.

Radiant, colorful, and linked with the strong bonds of respect, love and care, this first family will live in America's hearts as long as that Star Spangled Banner shall wave. God truly blessed America with these four. We wish them the best of luck.

That was GREAT, thanks.
