Hey Rod, just wanted to see if you want to hang out, shoot the breeze, maybe drive me to the hospital...

Been doing duct work for three years and I generally only use safety glasses when I grind metal

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wear P.P.E., yeah you know me. I said wear P.P.E., yeah you know me!

Without safety gear you would have looked liked a potential Bond Villain.

Congratulations on keeping the top half of your face

Well if you would of used a grinding or flapper disc instead of a cutting disc to grind shit down that wouldn't happen.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I had a center break off and the spinning disc skipped down the driveway and bounced around under a car. No more cheap discs.

PPE man, it's there so you don't end up maimed or dead lol

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You've convinced me

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wear these stylish tiny sunglass type safety glasses when I operate my cut off wheel, gonna have to reevaluate that!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Little less pressure on the grinder.

A hardhat stopped a snapped cable from taking the top of my head off once. Always wear proper safety equipment!!!

Don't use a 20yr old blade either

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have a buddy who had one of those embed itself in his cheek

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

After you have an incident like that, try signing your name. Apparently terror has the same effect as med school.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Can you clarify?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ever try reading a doctor's writing?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hahaha, got it. My girlfriend is in Med School at the moment. But, her writing has always been weird.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Holy shit op.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That thing would have taken your face off

That's why you should protect it with a Nicolas Cage.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Experiencing typo issues.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Interesting fact: Apparently metal workers who don't wear protective eye-wear can risk blindness when being subjected to an MRI!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Grinding ferrous materials without protection can leave flecks in your eye which can heat up and shake when exposed to an MRI.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I have to get an X-Ray of my eyes before an MRI. So far, so good.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm a welder and this is a common joke among us. Like when we go for an mri we'll finally be rid of all those damn splinters all at once
