A gesture like this helps a lot. Gonna pay it forward when I can! Be safe, wear a mask.

Edit: first time front page... panicking... send dudes?

I mean... GoG is DRM free, so you can technically get it for free from alternate distribution sites. Then buy it if you like the game.

I need that friend

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've done this. The joy someone gets out of it.. it just... makes me really happy.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

If your friend changes his steam to offline mode you both could play at the same time.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can play it at the same time on steam. All cdpr red games can be. One of you only had to launch the game from the exe in the bin folder.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So send dudes as in like, cyber dudes? Or like irl cause thats definitely a crime.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Steam family account settings. If you are willing to share your password with someone you can play all their games when they are not.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

My friend bought me a copy for Christmas, it’s been fun to play and talk to him about it! Enjoy @op!!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You can play it at the same time anyway, the Steam install .exe has no DRM...

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Your friend is a real life viktor

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is the game a bug ridden mess? Yeah. Do the models not render in time if you're moving too fast? Yeah. For an ambitious project it's amazing

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

It's a giant city simulation so I can forgive that triggers don't fire sometimes. Like it tries to do A LOT. And it gets a lot of it

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Wait, the first half of this implies you can play things in your steam friends' libraries.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Steam family share. Allows you to play the other person's games when they're not using steam

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wish i had friends

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

can afford comp that plays cyberpunk?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have a pc for free that can play it. It's my bfs old one, his new one can run cyberpunk on ultra xD

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

PSA if you have an Xbox One or PS4 base model, do not buy Cyberpunk 2077. It looks and plays like a half baked PS3 game on both. /1

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

/2 The One X version looks fine, but is still a buggy mess and runs at sub 25 frames most of the time. Don't make my mistake.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

/3 Lesson learned: never pre order, even if its from the "good guys".

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If only CDPR wasn’t absolutely awful to their workforce, making them do 16 hour work days and sometimes weekends since June 2019. See tweet:

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Dude I do wish I could afford a copy of this game , it looks like so much fun!

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You've gotta bang now.. You owe him.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This blows

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’m a bit too much into the reds on my credit card to dare buy it, but at least it’ll be patched up the day I can buy it.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Playing on pc i havent seen many bugs , about 20 hours in , having fun so far

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

While i can play it on pc pretty crash free (1 in 10h playtime) i rather have waited another year. Shame because its a decent enough game

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If only your friend bought it on GoG - could of saved himself 50$ by sharing the account with you.

5 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 8

Steam copy key can be used on gog, all keys are from free cdpr despises drm so they don't apply it ever.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

*could have

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Ill have to look into that. I'm all about sharing media and dev's getting full cut. Thanks for the tip!

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

You already CAN share the account, on steam. All the friend has to do is go offline, and you can both play at the same time.

Uh... I said if you didn't see it, and all the above comments were about OP and his friend.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

That's fucking rad!

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can play games in your friend’s library?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or you were at your friends?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Steam family share it's called. Me and my bf did it, but cyberpunk doesn't show in my library. Doesn't work with all games :(

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ah cool, thanks

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Basically it allows you to play the other person's games, but only if they are not using steam.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

CDPR learned what ea, blizzard, Bethesda, etc have all known. You can sell a buggy mess, call it aaa, and idiots will buy it.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

I could probably afford the game, but not the $350-400 upgrade I would need to make it run worth a flip. :(

5 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 1

I’ve been playing on my Xbox and haven’t had any issues.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I play on ps4. Fine now with today update. Very stable. They did an amazing job with the story, I haven't finished but am engaged

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Where you based

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I play via Geforce Now. 7€ / month and no need for a good pc.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Seriously, try Stadia. It's a free platform. Not perfect, but you're a perfect demographic candidate for it.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My PC can run it just fine but I like the ability to play it anywhere I have an internet connection.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*sigh* I was able to get an hour into it before I tried roaming around NC and my cpu couldn't keep up with more than 15fps. So I basically¹

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

got cock teased by a video game I had preordered since last year and then cut off from playing it bc my computer is so old. I cri, i cri ?²

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I want to wait a bit until things stabilize more, like they did with Skyrim, but I'll probably have to also get a new graphics card, and I →

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

definitely need a new 6TB minimum HDD to join the three smaller full ones I have before I get anything else.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Honestly man, just got for an M.2 SSD or regular SSD. It's so much more worth it for your computer, including gaming. ¹

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

https://youtu.be/5mBHIHmnuQ4 here, go watch this to see what I mean. It'll also definitely improve your quality of life if you plan on ²

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

doing any modding to your games. Please don't do what I do, allowing myself to stay with my HDDs ?. It the bad bad. ³

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah that’s where I’m at. I’ll get the game when I finally bite the bullet and buy a whole new rig.

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

As someone playing it right now. Not a bad option tbh. Youll get it when shit gets fixed and optimized and contents added. And likely-

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

-on sale on top of that.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same... :( I'm playing on a base PS4 (w/ a SSD), and it's decent, but I've had a couple crashes, and can't wait to see it on PC, someday...!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’ve considered moving to a rental plan so your computer is always top of the line and you don’t have to pay so much to upgrade, but it -

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

- probably costs way way more to do it that way... there’s a reason the “Netflix model” is so popular

Schweet. I might actually buy a copy then.

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Honestly, as much as I love DRM free games (and really I believe they should all be), I'm so invested in steam that I refuse to buy a

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

game that isn't redeemed through steam. It's just too fucking convenient.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just buy the game on GOG and dump a shortcut on your desktop. That should be more than convenient.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Except it's not. First off I can't stand shortcuts on my desktop. That's why I use a launcher. Secondly it's far, far less convenient than a

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

launcher that automatically updates all my games when I log on, keeps track of every title I own regardless of if it's installed or not, can

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wait, huh

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or buy it on steam, id actually rather valve gets a slice since they treat their employees far better than CD proj does

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

If only they treated their users better too, which they do not. Has everyone forgotten how shitty valve has been for many years as well?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Are you referring to the 8 extra hours of work time equaling a total of 48 hours a week that was voted on. Also they get bonus's on sales.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or did I miss something?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I haven't refunded any games in the past either, but the ticket is still 'open' so I hope they don't screw me.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

[deleted]

[deleted]

5 years ago (deleted Jun 5, 2021 8:43 PM) | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

Well I specifically said I don't want GOG Wallet funds since I'm not likely to ever use the service again. few hours played and days owned

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And like I said their little "can get you GOG funds now, we can reject full refunds for any reason" sounded extremely coercive.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

[deleted]

[deleted]

5 years ago (deleted Jun 5, 2021 8:43 PM) | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

Meanwhile I'm trying to get a refund and they pulled some mob tactic shit of "We can do GOG funds but not so sure about cash refunds....."

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

"Be a real shame if you tried to get a cash refund and it didn't work out. Maybe you should want GOG funds instead?"

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

First problem is why are you getting a refund in the first place?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because it feels like a cyberpunk Deus Ex with Fallout (mediocre) combat and no level of quality story will sway me enough to enjoy it.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Gog??

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Goog 'ol Games. They started out selling old but loved games. Now they just are awesome all around. https://www.gog.com/game/cyberpunk_2077

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

good old games

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Your steam copy is actually a gog key afaik you can access they key on steam and apply it on gog for your gog version.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

No, it's not.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes it is, gog lets you activate all their first party games that you own on steam on gog galaxy as well.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

How

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You can link a steam and gog account, some games you have on steam will be automatically recognised into your gog libarary. Not a lot though

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

neat

Oh. That's nice to know. Especially since I bought it yesterday on stadia..

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Holy shit... I had no idea GOG was owned by CDPR. I love GOG.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Damnit.... I forgot GoG was CDPR I bought it on steam

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Luckily they reached the threshold of getting 80% instead of 70% on steam, that'll add up

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

How are you able to share it? I understand the DRM aspect but the sharing is whats is confusing me... the owner of the game may share?

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Well technically, no, they may not. But no DRM means there's nothing stopping the owner from just sending the installer to someone else.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

You can copy the files to a usb stick and the entire game will be there not tied to any log in info or other anti piracy bullshit

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

Yeah, steam has a “family sharing” system where if you log on to another person’s computer (or share info) they can use your library 1/2

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

2/2 when they aren’t

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Copy that. After hearing that they plan on giving all dev's a bonus regardless of reviews, it made me want to support them even more!

Let’s hope none of their employees end up with clinical levels of stress from crunch culture :/ they’ve been guilty of that in the past.
